Its always interesting when someone takes existing music and is able to make it their own. Examples:

I remember that last one - The Toys and A Lover's Concerto.. The good old days of Motown. So much great music came out of Motown. Thank you, Berry Gordy.

I ran across this one and thought I'd post it.

I've been a Rolling Stones fan from the very start. I first saw them live in 1969 at Olympia Stadium in Detroit, then saw them live 3 more times over the years. The original band was Mick Jagger - vocals; Keith Richards - lead guitar; Brian Jones - rhythm guitar; Bill Wyman on bass and Charlie Watts on drums.

Brian Jones actually formed the group. But early on he got into drugs, apparently deeply. It got so bad that basically the other 4 kicked him out. About a month later he was found floating face down in his pool. He was replaced by Mick Taylor, who only stayed a year ot two. Then they brought in Ron Woods from Rod Stewarts group, Faces.

I always liked Bill Wyman, the bassist because of his "Prince-Valient" haircut and the way he held his bass. Bill finally left the group saying he wanted to spend more time with his family.

Then Charlie Watts, drummer. Another original member, Charlie died in 2021. Not only a great loss to the Stones, but to music everywhere.

There may never be another great Rock and Roll group. Numerous folks still play rock and roll, but mostly it's well-known groups from the '70's and '80's. I will always agree with the opening announcer at one of their concerts:

"Ladies and Gentlemen, the GREATEST Rock and Roll band in the world, The ROLLING STOOOOOOOONES!"

Ever heard (of) Laura Cox? She's a French Rock guitarist. Good? If you like good, hard Rock and Roll, she'll knock your sox off. Her guitar work rivals Alvin Lee's, In case you want to compare, I'll post Alvin's Woodstock performance below. But, man, this girl ROCKS it. I love her.

You'd better like it loud and hard to watch Alvin Lee.
(The volume level seems to be low on at least a few YT clips. i found a program called "Volume Master. " It can give you up to a 600% boost on any page with sound. Also you can control several pages at once if you like. Say you have 3 YT pages open. You can control the boost seprately on each page. I find it good and very useful.)

Here's a shortened version of Alvin Lee. It's a truncared version, but the sound is better:

In case you're interested, this is the whole 11 minute set. But you'll need that volume booster to hear it, lol.

There is a band called Rock Sugar and what they do is play the music to a rock song but sing the lyrics to a different pop song. They are pretty good. And for good measure the lead singer , Jess Harnell, is also a voice artist and is the voice of Wacko Warner in the animaniacs cartoons,

There is a Youtube channel called Professor of Rock which if you are into music is worth taking a look at. There are lots of episodes delving into the stories behind the songs. Interviews with the artists, etc. this one is an interview with Jess Harnell
