In 1991 Paul Simon and his band performed in Central Park. There was no charge for the people to spend the evening and enjoy some amazing music. Unfortunately, the concert has never been released in DVD! Any videos then are from VHS and look terrible, but the music is superb. Enjoy these 2 from that concert. (Make sure you keep the 2nd vid playing after the song ends and the band takes a break because the percussion players rip a jam session that is legendary!)

You're welcome Walt. I have the whole concert on a VHS tape somewhere in storage. It's really cool to see musicians from other cultures playing and singing on stage with him, most especially the electric guitarist with the long blue robes on. The every first song has a drum group from South Africa he discovered (some 20 players at least) on the back stage.

OK, I'm most likely the last person on the planet to take a look at this one, but it seems to be sweeping the music/dance world. There's even a clip of the guy trying to teach Britney Spears to dance this on The Ellen Show. A bit clumsy (she was wearing a tight skirt. I kept hoping she'd pull her dress up to give herself some "artistic freedom, lol, but, CRAP, she didn't. Rats, I NEVER get what I want, lol,) but fun to watch .

I'm sure this will go the way of the Macarena (and the Pony and the Mashed Potatoes and the Frug and The Monkey and the Boogaloo, etcetc, lol.) I present "Gangnam Style."

And, in case you've forgotten, Heyyyyy, Macarena!

In Holland the "gabber" scene got fed up with the macarena.

Kudos for the one that's listens to the whole song, style is known as "hardcore" :bouncy7:

That''s hilarious, Rua. Personally, I think most of the planet got pretty sick of the Macarena pretty quickly, lol. I'm betting Gangnam Style, while cute, will quickly follow the rest.

Oh My Gooooood, Walt! "Gangnam Style", yay! Image

I read that as of this week it's the most liked video on YouTube; 2.1 million likes, if I'm correct. The track is #3 in the UK, #2 in Holland and makes a 11-2 move on the Billboard Hot 100. Shake it Walt, lol.

Oh and Marco, that's just not cool anymore, hardcore. If you really wanna bring back the 90s, bring back Boyzone ... :lmao:

You wanna talk Westerns?

Lol, this was my favorite when I was about 15, I think. (Notice how far TV has come since 1958.)

I never could figure out tho. How cum Roy Rogers was only "The King of the Cowboys," But his wife, Dale Evans, was "Queen of the Whole Friggin' West?" :lmao:

I love the old "spaghetti" western's. Preferably with Clint eastwood. As long as the music is by Ennio morricone.
