i just saw Asterix and Obelix: God Save Britannia (in french bien-sur)

the live action adaptation of Asterix & Obelix et les Bretons.

"Julius Caesar lands in Britain, where a small village still holds out bravely against the Roman legions. But the situation becomes critical and the villagers have not got long to live; that's when Jolitorax, one of the villagers seeks volunteers to go seek help from his second-cousin Asterix the Gaul and bring back a barrel of "magic potion" to the Breton village of the indomitable heroes."

it had its funny moments, but i'm not liking the new guy they used for Julius Cesar and Asterix idk, he might be ok. i liked the actors they used in the previous movie, Asterix & Obelix at Olympics.

I'm going to see "Oz: The Great and Powerful" when it comes out this week. Also, "Olympus Has Fallen" with Morgan Freeman looks good.

Well, finally got to see "Oz, The Great and Powerful." I really liked it. Saw it in Real 3D. Through the previews, I saw 3 - 3Ds listed: Real 3D, Digital 3D and IMAX 3D. Don't know what the difference is, but I really thought this was well done. And it really did tie into "The Wizard of Oz." Once the Wizard was firmly settled in Oz and had his "room" set up, it was just as you see it in TWOO, all thoroughly explained. Also explained the 3 witches, altho you never meet The Wicked Witch of the East (or was it South) in TWOO. Remember, a house falls on her in the beginning.

If you like TWOO, and still like a little fantasy, you should go see this one. And see it in 3D. It may be ~$3 more, but I thought it was worth it. The 3D was fantastic. Generally made you feel you were right there.

^ I'm going to see Oz this weekend! Will splurge and see it in 3D.

Saw Spring Breakers last week....meeehhh. It was OK but it looked fantastic - the colors were really vivid and the shots of the drug use were trippy but very cool and obviously the four main girls are stunning! Very little dialogue which surprised me but I'm not familiar with Harmony's other movies so not sure if it's just what he does. Everyone was really freaking over the fact that Selena Gomez was in it but she really didn't get into as much craziness as the other girls. Only reason I'd say see it in theaters is because of the aesthetics but if you have a nice flat screen at home just wait for it on DVD.
Just be honest with who you are and if you don't end up with any friends, good for you.

i just saw Skyfall, it was good, i started watching in the plane on my way to LA but the 2nd plane didn't have a screen. longuest trip in my life ugh !

anyway, lol

Our James Bond is back ! I had enough with this brooding lonner going off half cocked type stuff, i think he's back in action for good .

i liked the winks at the older movies, total fan service but i liked those movies with Sean Connery.

ps: yunno, i might actually give Daniel Craig's other bond movies a try now.

I just watched Skyfall last night too! I thought it was very good. Judi Dench is phenomenal. There were a couple of scenes in which she never utters a word, she just stands there, but the expressions on her face gave me goose bumps. What an actress!

I think you'd make a great Bond girl Bobbi!

well i just went to see STTNG Best of Both Worlds, the definition and clarity is amazing. They also played a couple interviews with the actors, nice to see that.

The effects are redone and much better, and the color saturation and hue is done just right. they haven't released seasons 5 through 7 yet but if its like that, it's got my personnal seal of approval.

i can't wait to see the whole series, they already have Seasons 1 through 4 out on blueray. Blueray HD rocks.

The only down side is its expensive like the dvds and vhs's before them. but i think this will be the final version since there's only so much they can do to upscale the original film negatives.

So i'm putting it in my wishlist, hope to see it in lower prices
