All Star Superman (2011)

Contrary to the title, it doesn't have any other super hero in it. its not an "all stars" movie.

its just Superman getting the sunflu and dying from it. But he does confess to Lois as being superman, so its kind of a prequel to the relationship. brings her to his fortress of solitude, its her bday and he gives her a 24h superpowers serum, that basically gives her powers like his for a day.

Then Lex discovers/replicates that serum and mayhem ensues.

But imho, Superman/Batman Apocalypse (2010) was better. Both can be considered prequels.

I went to see "Larry Crowne" a couple days ago. Not a fascinating movie, but you will probably like it if you like Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts. It's only getting mediocre reviews.

Recently saw Horrible Bosses. I thought it was very funny, especially with Jennifer Aniston playing a character you would not expect her to play.

Saw a swedish film that was their entry for the academy awards called Simple Simon. I thought it was quite good, even with the subtitles.

Then you should love the movie. Went to see it again this weekend with Sweetie. Good ending, as well.

I saw the Mechanic last sunday, the new one with Jason Statham. Meh. The action sequences are cool but the story is lame and the plot just doesn't make sense at all. But, we were watching it on movie night in a bar, and with a few beers and some chatter it was an entertaining movie.

just saw "Super" with rain wilson and ellen page.

Kind of anti-hero superhero movie, they're flawed, human, make mistakes and totally crazy for sure.

Not sure how i like it, it's ok but the antihero theme is so last year, so is this movie lol i like super heroes bigger than life, flawless and more super.

Saw Cowboys vs Aliens. Ok if you like mixing different genres. Also saw Crazy, Stupid Love. Thought it was good, with a few surprise twists in it.

I saw Rise of the Planet of the Apes & the Change Up today. Planet of the Apes was very good, especially as a set up story for the earlier Planet of the Apes movies. The CGI apes were very realistic, especially when compared to the early movies with good actors in ape costumes. Even in the Change UP CGI was used for Leslie Mann's breasts. They looked great.
