Bree effectively retired from porn earlier this year when she hooked up with Charlie Sheen as one of his "goddesses". Basically, it served as her vehicle into the mainstream market.

Maybe she finally outgrew playing the slut all of the time.

No I don't hate her, I've barely met her except the one time on stage at the freeones party when she was very standoffish to me.... but hey maybe it's just her, maybe she's the shy one with women.... I know some other people who seem really bitchy and stuck up but then when you get to know them they are really nice. They just come off that way because they are shy or insecure themselves.

But I think it's a bad thing, the industry is so small to start with, and we are losing people left and right. Bree Olsen, Sasha Grey, Sunny Lane.... They are not making stars anymore, the industry is different, everything is straight to web, so much gonzo, there aren't as many beautiful boxcovers, no big movie posters, less signings, you know what I mean, so much amateur porn, not that it's a bad thing, but girls are not becoming stars like they used to.

And maybe some girls act bitchy because they are insecure,. look up to you .. I have had that a few times. At the end they were pretty nice, when you are alone with them.. :)
And its a shield that they put around them to protect themselves..

but i can imagine why some girls stop the business.. if they only do movies and to be honest the dvd / feature movies is not what it was.. and they dont pay what they used too. So if they dont build up something theirselves.. and are only depended on the movie bizz its hard to survive i think.

I have followed Miss Olsen VERY closely over the past 4 years, and I think she suffers from "Borderline" personality disorder - in other words she is 2 people in 1...!

Case in point......

The girl will post online about how she's wishes she could live in a small town and marry a guy like Dan from Roseanne - then the next night she is posting about how she needs some dick and someone better come over and fuck her right now....!

I don't think the girl knows what she wants. She already lives in a small town (Ft. Wayne, Indiana) and I'm sure there are lot's of Dan's from Roseanne drinking at the local bar. I think she is seriously torn between 2 worlds....

This story isn't done just yet. I don't know how much money she has in the bank, but after she spends the next year in Hollywood trying to blow herself a lead role - personally - I think she will be back to feature dancing and porn by 2013.

I wish her luck - but I think she is going to have an extremely hard time making it in Hollywood.

It's just not that easy....There have been a ton of stars who have tries to make it - Traci Lords, Ginger Lynn, Nina Hartley - just to name a few...

Yeah that's why i really pooh pooh each time I get offered parts in mainstream films. They really try to manipulate us, telling us we should do these films for almost 0, because of the "publicity" it will get us. I never fall for it, they just use our names to their benefit, it does get people talking about their films, and it doesn't really help us. It does not lead to more website signups. It may be good for our ego's, but financially, it helps them not us. They are a waste of time. I turn down gigs every week, especially music videos for free, unless they are willing to cough up the dough.

Hollywood will never take porn girls seriously. Soooo many have tried, so many actually had some talent too. At least more talent than some of the dimwits in hollywood who are getting parts and working and making money. Just that the stigma of porn will never leave us once we have done it. Just accept it. You made your bed, now lie in it. Be happy with your choices, be the best that you can be. I'm not saying don't try, don't go after it, but be realistic and smell the coffee at the same time. Otherwise you will be disillusioned and very depressed afterwards. I've seen it happen over and over.

Personally I love porn, I think it's more honest than a lot of what goes on in mainstream hollywood. The porn world is and always will be just hollywood's playground.

The way I see it?? Bree's young...only in her 20's. She still has a lot to learn.

Maybe she thinks that being Charlie Sheen's "goddess" will parlay her into a mainstream career....but I'd think probably not. It still takes plenty of talent to succeed as a mainstream actress, and no good looks or casting couches will cloak inexperience.

I'm thinking that she'll be back in porn in a year or two, when her notoriety fades out and the casting calls get fewer and fewer.

Actually, I happen to think that in most cases, the best porn girls/porn women are even better than most Hollywood starlets. It takes major stones to bare yourself sexually in front of a camera (whether video or camcorder, and you absolutely have to have a much stronger will and thicker skin to be a successful adult actress/performer. Plus, not nearly the stuck-up ness and arrogance.

It's like in any job: what you put into it, you will get out of it. And, it will show to those who are the ultimate judges.

Another one bites the dust.

LINCOLN, Neb. — Affiliate program MelissaMoney.com has closed its doors, with the company stating it had run its course and that its webmaster program that includes a suite of solo-girl sites is no longer profitable.

The company’s affiliate program includes flagship site MelissaMidwest.com, featuring longtime solo girl Melissa Midwest, as well as FoxyJacky.com and SweetAdri.com.

In a two-paragraph statement on its website, the company explained to affiliates that “the acceptance for a solo girl site in today's marketplace” has changed and that it shouldn’t be a complete shock that it was shutting down.

It also said that affiliates won’t receive any further payments.

“I apologize sincerely for the lack of notice, delivering bad news like this is never going to be a happy occasion — or an easy decision,” the site said. “Our recommendation is you immediately pull your links, where appropriate. The end has come.”

The program is owned by MelTech Inc., of Lincoln, Neb., and operated by Midwest, whose real name is Melissa Harrington, and husband Shane Harrington, who acts as president, secretary and director.

Midwest’s porn career, which started in 2003 at age 21, has been marked with controversy.

Midwest has been arrested three times over nudity charges stemming from activities related to her website.

Also, Midwest was named as a co-defendant in a lawsuit by porn star Brooke Skye, who claimed that while performing on a radio program together, Midwest penetrated her with an oversized strap-on dildo against her will. That case was later settled.
