I personally think it would be possible to live a "normal" life after porn. All you do is change your friends network to non-porn people and you tell them nothing about your past life. Only problem I really see is that someone in that group run across you on the internet and expose you, like has happened with other folks.

But the clips we see here make some very interesting and valid points. Like Carl said, does it ever really go away?

And Vicky made a very valid point, too. Will this be objective or subjective? Thats the problem with biased reporters. They tell the story they want to, so they only interview people that fit the profile of what they feel personally. Therefore it is not really a valid story if you don't give voice to both sides.

It does indeed look like an interesting documentary to watch. You can't blame them though for telling the story only from one perspective. It's the way media/journalists work. Simply because of the fact that it's what (most) people want to see and hear. It sells. Well, more anyway then the "and they lived long and happily ever after" story. Even how sad that conclusion may be, don't get me wrong. Image Image

It's the stigma that follows you the rest of your life, because the so called "normal" people put it on you
If a person has worked in the adult entertainment industry, he or she is a pornstar for life. If a person has been a drug addict, gone into rehab but is now clean, he will still be a drug addict. When you have stolen something once, you're a thief for life. When one has committed a murder, but has served his time in jail, he or she will remain a killer and thus dangerous for the rest of that person's life. I know, I'm getting too extreme now. Image

But Carl, I agree with ya there. It's tough to get a second chance in life. To be able to make and get a new fresh start and leave your past behind. But on the other hand, isn't what you've done in your past a real part of you in the present? Isn't your past (partly) responsible for where you are in life right now and shouldn't a person therefore be 'proud' of it? Or, I'll rephrase, accept it? Image

Hey Gert-Jan,

yes, why not being proud of what you did in your past?
For example, Sunny did nothing illegal or bad while she did porn.
Quite the contrary! She made so many people happy during her time.
& yes, I'm one of them. I have to owe her so much for that.
I'm always thinking thankfully when I remember her & I would always defend her against any attacks of the so called "normal" people.

& I did many things I'm not proud of & better would forget them, beause the people & I by myself are thinking it was really bad.
But some things, I did, I'm proud of, even the people didn't like it.
I'm still standing for it!

So, I hope the "out of porn people" have the courage to stand for it, because there is always an asshole who like to dig in your past to blame you, as Walt explained it.

Hey VNA,

does anyone remember the German porn star Leonie Saint?
I saw a documentary on German TV where she explaint why she retired from porn in 2008.
Once in 2008, she had a shooting with a guy who had no STD certification but promised he did the test & left it at home.
She & the production team trusted him and did the shooting.
A few days later, when she repeated her own test, the med doc told her she had a clamydia infection.
Afraid & pissed off, she claimed it to the producer & the guy :asshole:
Leonie received a shrug from the producer who ignored her and a bad smile from the motherfucker.
She then was quite sure this was no accident & the asshole infected her willfully!
Leonie had big trouble with the infection for a long time.
This was the signal to retire & go.
2009 she got a baby & found a complete new life with her husband.
In the interview she talked about her life in porn, still open minded, only a little bit aloof her old biz.
She sounded not proud, more sad of the time she wasted at porn with such an ugly ending.
What a pity!

It's a pity I came here after Sunny left. I heard more people talk about her, read some threads here and I also noticed the website through the link that's still on Bobbi's website. It would have been nice to meet her. :)

You made me (us?) curious, want to share something? Image

Nice picture of Leonie. :D

Oh, I'm betting that, if we stop and think, we've all done at least one thing we're not proud of. But we lived thru it and, hopefully, have become better people. Like Carl said, it is these life experiences, good and bad, that make us who we are.

Believe me, you will change from day to day. Usually it's imperceptable. But if you are old enough you can think back 20 years, you will see how you have changed. And, when you reach 69, you can look back at your life like a movie. You can see all of the highlights, all of the good and all of the bad. You will remember when you have wronged people and you will remember when you have been wronged. And you will be thankful that you lived thru it all, and that, over all, you've had a pretty good life.

I'm writing an autobiography for my son. I want him to know who I was. And, once you get over 60 - 65, if you have children, you should do the same for them.

I still think Sunny Lane will be back at some point...

... once you leave it is hard to get it out of your system...

Even the girls who are doing the Documentaries of life after porn are somehow craving attention. Why do a documentary if you want to be out of the business all together?

Maybe they want to counteract the stereotypes put forth by the establishment media and the Shelley Lubbens of the world that porn performers are nothing more than airheads lusting after the first 10 dicks they see, or merely mass serial rape victims in recovery?

Though, I can see the "craving attention" point. Having thousand of men masturbating to you can be one hell of a intoxicant.

Yeah, Anthony,
Anthony_JK wrote: Though, I can see the "craving attention" point. Having thousand of men masturbating to you can be one hell of a intoxicant.
Oh yes, this job can be heaven & hell.
Look at musicians & filmstars who got mad of their prominent position & always hiped by a crazy audience.
For pornstars it can get even worse.
Look at Sunny again & what she all did in total:
She travelled from one filmset to the next one, having no home only hotel rooms.
Exibitions all over the country, special events, the cam shows & the job at the Bunny Ranch which was surely not easy.
Do you remember when our brave Sunny was totally exhausted, but nevertheless did her camshow? :kissass: :flower: :heartbreak: :hatsoff:
I know women who totally burned out & took alcohol &/or hard drugs to stand it until they were barely before fucking themselves to death!
If you have no one to keep you grounded & really loves you, this is one of the hardest jobs I know.
No fan can get closer to a any other star than a pornstar who is working like Sunny did.
& sometimes you can't say NO because it's the biz, even though it could become "ugly".
It's a lust because you are never "alone" & it's a plage because you are never "alone", but deep in your heart you feel alone cause you become aware that you'll burn away inside. It's a paradox! ... very dangerous!
As I said, it's heaven & hell.
The only way to get out of that system is to have a nice place for your own, which is absolutely for you only, where you can rest & recharge your batteries with people you like & love.
Somewhere far from heaven & far from hell.
Then, you can stand it + have some fun in your job.
I hope Sunny found such a place.

Carl :heartflames:

PS: For me, that's the reason why I'm always trying to be nice to the girls.
& if necessary, I do my best to keep them grounded like I do it for a good friend.
I know exactly & I honor what the girls are doing for me. :icon_jiggle: :shandalips: :heartbreak: :flower: :hatsoff:

Bree Olsen is really "super pretty" and everything but hasn't she already retired before?? I think she'll be back (especially when she misses the money!!)

VNA,

I've just seen the youtube video from Britney Maclin (Bibi Jones).
I only know her from freeones, some reports & a few videos.
I think she almost had or she already had nerous breakdown. It looks like a burn-out syndrome.
& could it be that she was a little bit drunk? Her voice sounded like that?
I don't know the real reasons, but I believe that this business can be very hard if you have no support from a BF, true friends or your family.
Too many business people are like vampires, sucking the girls out or acting rough against them.
If you are not self-confident enough to handle this, may be it is better to give it up before you go down.
I'm sorry for her.
I hope she has or she finds good help & I wish her good luck for a new life.

It's a pity !

Another gorgeous babe gives it up!

The famous Hulahoop girl Remy LaCroix left porn.

She posted:
There’s a multitude of reasons to give now, but the bottom line is that it just doesn’t feel right anymore… physically, mentally, or emotionally.

Is there an epidemic that so many women leave porn?
What is the real reason?
Or is it just the usual pecentage & normal? :feedbackplease:

Yes, Vicky, it's a pity. I think it's ok when they do it for love or if they want to grab a chance for another orientation in life.
It's a desaster if they do it when they are pissed off the business or have no other choice.

Will she be shooting and updating her site? She shouldn't have said the word retired then. It has bad connotations.... that will hurt her in the long run.

So which is it, Mariah? Are you gonna retire or are you gonna keep doin' it for your site and your members and your cam shows? And, you don't wanna do a Brett Farve?
