This would probably be like me being a nurse (although I'm not certified) and doing porn, or even being on a site like this. I'm sure I could get fired...not that I would ever do anything to or in love the residents in any way...just like I'm sure this teacher didn't involve her students. It's a risky thing to do but we have to live our own lives the way we want to. I'm sure my bosses would want me out of here if they knew I had anything to do with porn or how I'm buddies with some of the ladies. Just like how some bosses would get all nervous if you tell them you're gay or bisexual. Some people just can't handle that.
I don't really think it's right she was forced to quit but at the same time, what, were they going to make her stop doing porn or else? They can't control her life. She's a grown adult, and it's unfortunate someone caught her doing it. Probably some creepey janitor or pervy teenage boy found her out!

As a parent I see nothing wrong with a teacher doing porn on the side, cause I know several teachers and they struggle cause here in SC they don't get any extra money like teachers use to get for classroom supplies. Most teachers want all the students in the class to have the same supplies need for the subject, but it does not always happen.

I would like to know who was the porn and reported her, cause if they r in the school system then they should be out also. Teachers are having to find others jobs to make it that's why there is a teacher shortage and classes have more students.

This is the kind of stuff that really gets my goat. First of all the hypocrisy behind all of it...no need to dwell on that since it has been covered many times and for many reasons. I, too, have a Code of Conduct policy that I am to adhere to not just on the job, but as a representative of my agency within the community as well. Many Federal, State, and local government agencies/employers may have something that is similar in "morality clauses", but that does not give any employer the right to trample on the law. Yes, the law. For many years I was a shop steward with my local and with that responsibility, especially where I work, I educated myself on the difference between a local employers policy and the law of the land.

Bridgit referred to it in her State of Texas "I can also be fired for being gay because technically it is against the law, but I can get married. Sexual orientation is not protected in the state of Texas. Now most public school district will not push the gay issue..."

FYI folks there is a Federal law that protects your rights as someone that is "gay" and it is the with the United States Equal Opportunity Commission. So if you Bridgit or anyone else on this site feels that you're being targeted for any of the following: Age, Disability, Equal Compensation, Genetic Information, Harassment, National Origin, Pregnancy, Race/Color, Religion, Retaliation, Sex and Sexual Harassment you are protected. Yes it is very sad they did that to her. I don't know what the rules here, but I'm sure there about the same. I volunteer so much time at the school and have no idea what they would do if they knew I was a member. I would hope nothing, but they always seem to use the kids as an excuse to fire someone

I think this society is just too prudish. What happeened to actually living your own life and doing what you want as long as it doenst hurt others. I cant see how being on Cam really affects her job as a gym teacher. Its not like those kids wont see porn anyway. It's tough since teaching is the industry she chose to get in. And I am sure she knew the consequences of her actions if she got caught. I've heard of teachers getting fired for just having porn on their computer, not even participating in it. There are strict guidelines and rules they have. And to some degree it makes sense, because you don't only represent yourself. But you represent the school. And I do think to some degree, schools should be able to hire people that fit into the image they are looking for. Every job I've had, has had some type of rule or formula I had to follow. Mainly things like dress code where I would get fired if I didn't follow them. Whether I agreed to it or not, I was the one asking for the job. So I always would follow guidelines. I do think this could maybe change in the future if parents put pressure on the school. But like someone said prior, our society is a bit prudish.

But there is another side to it. Since almost every adult has sex and almost every adult watches porn. A lot of people in society just try and be secretive about it, like it's a dirty secret. Rather than just be forthcoming and honest about enjoying it. But there always have been some odd logical fallacies that occur. Like the fact that certain teachers teach sex education. So it's okay for them to talk about sex, and display it, but not for them to do it? And I can say for myself, porn was the biggest education I got on the subject lol. Hopefully everything works out for her.
