i've always felt bad for her, never seemed like she got a break like John&Kate.

now i heard her house is in foreclosure back in march.

dontcha just love big banks? they get bailouts and don't even have the heart to give someone else a break.

I can't feel bad for her. Single, unemployed, with six children and then seeks out IVF for more children and ends up with eight more? I can't feel bad for anyone who acts so irresponsible. I'm single with a decent job, but I couldn't imagine trying to allocate resources to raise one child, let alone 14. If a person cannot see their own shortfalls, then I do not pity them for making mistakes. I do feel sorry for the 14 children though--no one should have to endure such media attention (give it time, there'll be a reality TV show).
When I look at her and similar large families (Honey Boo Boo, etc), I can't help but to think of the movie Idiocracy. We're going to be saturated by idiots who learn everything from reality television characters.
I'll just keep ignoring anything related to reality TV or octomom; been working well for me.

I couldn't agree with you more! I think she was banking on a reality show that didn't happen. Those shows are all brain rot, why not read a good book or research something interesting on the net? (not porn!) lol...

They didn't have birth control back then, now we do. Plus she deliberately got pregnant, it was not an accident, without a husband, she is totally alone, broke and forces herself to get pregnant and have 8 more kids on top of the 6 she already can't afford? Where is the logic in that HT?

yeah logic, the heart wants what the heart wants. i think her problem is she loves being a mom so much she doesn't want it to end.

But all i can say is she's doing what she can now to support them instead of mooching off society as everyone keeps dredging up the past. How is it any different from kate gosselin and her 8 kids? she's got a bunch of kids her husband left her, AFAIK she's not rich either is she?

Probably just timing. Kate got a good agent that parleyed that situation to the right networks. i meann she coldn't very well keep doing whatever job she was doing now could she ?

So anyway, Nadya now is taking things more seriously, she was quite young when she had the kids, and that's a good thing for her to do, it keeps her busy (the job i mean) and makes her less of a mooch, since that is what all the fuss is about isn't it ? i think that's what ppl don't like about it.

Can't fault her for that. So more power to her. if she needs a job, i hope somebody will be a kind heart and help her out.

As stated before HT, the issue isn't having children. It's a matter of bringing children into the world with no means to support them. I can't imagine nor wish to imagine the joy of bringing a child into the world, but I know I will not have a child without a plan to support that child. The child doesn't need to have every toy in the world, but I would not want them to go hungry. Choosing to pay for a $6000 IVF procedure with 6 children and no job is irresponsible. At some point, you have to be an adult and put personal desires aside. It's called sacrifice and it's necessary for success of a family, career, or life in general.
Regarding your earlier point HT, during the 19th and early 20th century, a large family was a necessity. Short life expectancy and an agrarian society required multiple family members to contribute for the greater good of their family or commune. This was a survival tactic and served a purpose. Octomom breeding 14 children has no purpose. It is the act of a selfish woman who cares only for herself. With 6 children, I am sure I could find better ways to use $6000 than to attempt to have another child (or 8).
Anyway, you bring up good points HT, though I disagree with you.

And Vicky, I like your posts. I'm convinced that Reality TV is the beginning of humanity's downfall. It's sad to see people watch that garbage and see some of them live vicariously through Reality TV stars.
It's sad that people do not read as much as they should. I constantly battle this issue as I correct my troops' reports. Some issues are simple grammar mechanics, but many times I feel like an English teacher lecturing them. I'm not the greatest writer in the world, but I definitely see our younger generations failing. I think it's a matter of growing up in a texting culture where it's ok or accepted to misuse your/you're/ur or lose/loose--so frustrating.

I'm not nearly as down on Nadya as most are...I just don't get her popularity. So, she deliberately got herself pregnant with more children than she could afford for the Reality TV publicity....then mooched off porn to pay her bills. Which makes her.....what?? A parasite?? Or, just someone who was lucky enough to be able to game the system to her own advantage? No one told Adam and Eve that they had to give her that vibrator and camera, you know.

What gets me is that her "video" got 4 AVN nominations.....really?? Seriously?? Is she that gifted a professional that she is worthy of getting nominated for merely jilling off on camera?? I guess that if that secret Nicki Minaj sex tape emerges and VIVID decides to make it a public vid, will it get 10 AVN/XRCO nominations, too?? Are we that hard up for celebrity worship that we can't recognize REAL porn performers who can do this 1,000 times better....and are more professional at it??

And yeah...Reality TV is so overrated. First off, it's not real...people who know that they are being recorded for an audience adjust their behavior accordingly. Secondly, how many of those "reality" people are really second- and third-rate actors getting paid to perform?? Real life does not need a plot line...or a butt implant.

No...she got caught because she was reckless and stupid enough not to figure out that welfare agencies ultimately find you out, and are not too happy about moochers gaming the system. Especially moochers with 8 kids showing out on reality shows, then flashing their $100K porn "careers" in other people's faces.

Maybe all those reality show producers should put in for her defense, or pay her bond.

Back in the 60's, my best friend was a real wheeler/dealer. He had 3 or 4 girls on welfare, unemployment and two or three other programs. (and yes, they split with him. That's how we got all our drugs and beer, lol.) All the paperwork in those days was just that, pencil and paper. But today a press of the Enter key will check you against almost anything.
