Okay guys I have some bad news this week and man I can tell you it's been one hell of one!

My Mom was diagnosed with cervical cancer and we don't know what stage it is yet but as soon as we do I will let you all know. We are going to fight this hard and with every ounce of my being I will do everything to help her. I am really in shock and pretty upset right now....brain/spine/lung cancer took my Dad just in 2008 but we are dealing with an easier cancer they tell us!

We have some family coming up this weekend that's why I have had to cancel the show.

If anyone has any info on this type of cancer please let me know.

I want you all to know you are very important to me and my site is also and I will continue to work through this with my Mom but still provide you with great content!

thanks everyone ...see you next weekend :shandalips: :iloveyou:

ShandaFay, you know that we want you to take care of your Mom first. This is very difficult for you. We appreciate your updates, but family comes first. We will always be here for you. Please take care of your mom and keep us advised.

I've never had to deal with cancer, so know little about it, beyond what it generally is. I know that you can find out plenty by just googling it. So, please take care of your family, ShandaFay. We'll be here.

Prayers going up today.
I can resist everything except temptation.

Dear ShandaFay, I'm so sorry to hear this news. Our parents are the most important people in the world. They bring us into the world, they raise us, teach us things and learn us how to be independent, so we can start living our own life when we become an adult. Yet, the 'education' is never finished.

By getting older, we learn things ourselves, but we keep on learning from our dear mom as well. And when one of the most precious people gets diagnosed with the aweful disease cancer, in which form whatsoever, your day-to-day life collapses. From that moment on, everything you have been taught by that person isn't sufficient to find the right answer to respond to this. To cope with this. So I, we all, can totally understand that you're in shock and upset.

Walt said it right. It says alot about you that you want to keep us happy and satisfied and think/worry about updates on the site and/or keep the content for it coming. But this message you got, is far more important! Support eachother, stay strong, beat the cancer Image, and hopefully you, your mom and ofcourse the rest of the family will be getting lots of more happy moments to share with eachother. :)

I'm only 26 and no experiences with such a major disease, but I too wanted to let you know that my thoughts are with you and that I sincerely hope everything turns out well. :)
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

Shanda I sort of know how you feel.
About 9 years ago I got a call from my hubby's doctor.
He told me that we needed to go to the hosital the very next day cause a test showed that he had skin cancer and they needed to remove some of the skin on his arm asap. And we was told there was a real risk of it spreading.
I was totally devastated, and I did handle this way worse than my hubby. I could not think, eat or sleep for several months.
But in the end it did work out for the best.
Just dont loose hope and take care of your family.
Always time for the other stuff later.

Love and kisses too you and yours
Monica

Shanda, my dad survived 2 cancers, colon and prostate. they do miracles these days.

oh that reminds me, children of parent who had cancer need to start getting tested 5 years before the 1st cancer was diagnosed.

Speaking of pegging, Jeb would you go in my place for the colonoscopy ? i think you'd enjoy it more than i would :yuck:
 and take a deep breath its almost over. :lmfao:

relax its only in like 10 years i think... you have time to ease into it

ShandaFay,

Hearing that any family member or friend has cancer is very devastating. Trio hearts and prayers go out to you and Mom.

The good news is that we have 3 friends that have survived and doing quite well after several years. Many do very well these days and getting the facts may help. Praying too!

Jebby called us and told us where to find some good sites to link to for you. He prays that there may be some comfort in some of this info. Hope that you found out by now or soon what stage your Mom is and that it is 0, IA or IB. Jebby has a Biology degree and says "No matter what, just don't freak out!" Rates are averages and so many beat the odds.

Thanks for the info Jebby I need all I can take in!

Ht I am so glad your dad is doing better he has been through a lot too!

Thanks Aussie Steve

So we went for a consult Monday and really it was just going over what the other doctor told us. But next week they are doing examinations tests and MRI so the week after we should know all we need to. My Dad's cancer was so much different because it was terminal so we just gave him the best quality of life we could and he did a few radiation treatments but if you ask me the painkillers took him away from us much sooner then the cancer did.

I hope this isn't to sad of a topic for you guys but it's my Mom and I just want to keep you informed of my things in my life. :shandalips:

ShandaFay, You must know that even though we have not met yet in person that you, family, pets even Nix are special people to me.

Hearing the "C" word always scares us particularly since the loss of your Dad. My Dad also died rather quickly from cancer.

Not cancer but a related scare. I had mini strokes while in remote Mexico last year and that scared the S _ IT out of me. Especially due to condition and medications when I could not get an erection for a couple weeks and cock shrinking. Talk about a wake up call for a man! Changed to a vegan diet and cholesterol dropped from 246 to 170 and LDL from 134 to 87 and both are still dropping WITHOUT Drugs. All should know those numbers. There are related issues to many cancers and other diseases to diet! Many with cancers have high fat diets. My Dad did! Get and read I feel much better even though I will be 62 in May. Erections are back up too which is proof to me that the diet works and maybe saved me. No stiff pricks and I go nuts, due drugs, drink and die!

Cervical cancer has a very high survival rate in this day and age. LJ&S Trio know several that have beat the odds and doing fine even after 10 years! Remember the numbers are just averages and many beat the odds particularly with diet changes.

Just know that my prayers and thoughts are with special lady you Mom, Grand Mom and family!

In the states where we still have Non-government healt care I can get a CD of my CT scans and MRI right afters scans. As a undergraduate Biology major I take CDs home and look at on my laptop. I get copies of all blood and other tests and look up what I don't remember on the Internet. Best to be very informed with notes of questions when you see the very busy Doctors.

If you need any more info or comfort PM me or e-mail L&S for my phone number and I will call you. HUGS!

Jebby
