New Year's Resolutions, anyone?
For me, it's more sleep, more sex, more smiles, and...less dogs.
And not necessarily in that order.

course, i'll be spending my bday and new years with no sex and lil sleep so great start on those resolutions lol
Ah, the famous New Year's Resolutions. I can't even recall anymore how many times I have heard "I'm going to quit smoking" or "I plan on going to the gym more often and start working out". The first day of the new year is barely over and they've already lighted up another cigarette. January is completed and they still didn't find their way to the gym ...
As for myself, I don't really have any resolutions. I'm pretty happy with how things are going right now. Living a good life. Enjoying the social time with friends. Happy to be part of the VNA network and to have met you in person. Things are going really well at work, too. In fact, I'm even up for promotion, will know for sure whether they've picked me in about 2 weeks! So, I guess my only wish for 2013, is to stay as healthy as the people I love and myself, have been in 2012.

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

New Years resolutions? Well, Julia, my first is to help you with your #2! And my second is hopefully, to help with your #3.
Julia, at my age, I don't really make resolutions any more, except to make it thru another year. The doc keeps telling me that all is well, except for cholesterol a bit higher than it should be and weight higher than it should be. So I guess my resolution would be to quit talking about it and start eating better, much better - mostly fruits and salads, less crap food like breads, chips, etc.etc. Eating much better will not only take care of that extra weight, but should bring that cholesterol down, too.

Resolutions? Hmmm... They're more goals than resolutions, but I just want to finish my Bachelor's degree and continue advancing my career. Maybe I'll try to dedicate one day a week to go out and socialize with people and who knows? Maybe I'll try asking a woman or two out, but I can't make any promises. One step at a time, lol.

Resolutions? hmmm
I tend to have so many of them every time we start a new year hahaha
But I'm probably too lazy ... So this time I will not promise my self or anyone anything :-)
Now I take one day at a time to see if I succeed.
I have started with somethings. and that is work out so I get all that Christmas fat of my body...
I love to eat lots of good food
and at my age you should not eat too much fatty foods it settles in places it should not,
and I'm trying to quit smoking but time will tell if I achieve what I have imagined
Kisses Monica

Good man, Dave. Follow the plan I suggested and get started. Monica is trying to quit, too, so contact her and you two work together. Post in her thread.

Lol, right? So how's that working so far for you, Vince? We're 9 days into the new year, have you been good?Vince wrote:I will try to stay away from junk food, but that never happens.

It's a good goal, Kisha. And yes, not one easily accomplished. But you can do it, I know you can!

I managed to quit smoking in 2011,maybe this year I should drink less as I had a bit of a problem with that last year.
Other than that ,and spurred on by your thread ,I'll try and stay up later to catch your shows(1am -2am)

Well, resolutions....I've kept up with mine from last year, gym at least 3 times a week, eat healthy, don't smoke (so no quit resolution there), drink rarely....ah ha, got one. Try not to let stupid ignorant people bother me as much as they have in the past, now this one is one I probably will break...lol.
Seriously though, to make those around me that I care for feel loved and appreciated and, hopefully, it will affect others to do the same.

I have had a farm with 5 dogs and 6 horses. MORE SEX is number one on my list even if I almost 63 years old!
