Yes they are. My grandmother always said to me. "When the going gets tough, the tough get going". Get your ass to meetings. Get better. If you wanna get better, you can get better. People have gotten off drugs and alcohol by going to AA and NA meetings in jail. It can be done if you really want to do it.
