I'll try to fix the programming so that they timeout and disappear after a certain amount of inactivity....

That would be helpful, but, remember, probably at least 80% of members don't say anything. So, any action, to me, should happen after the model has logged out.

I will get back to reminding folks about logging out using the log out button. i was doing it, but got away from it.

MODERATORS: Please post a couple of times near the end of your show, maybe the last half, about leaving by clicking the log-out button. Something like this:

"Remember, instead of just closing your window, please log out using the Log Out button at the upper right to properly close out your link."

I won't be able to get to Vicky or Monica's shows tomorrow. Texas primary elections are in early March and early voting is Feb 14th - 35th. So, they are holding training classes tomorrow. You know, PLAYOFF SUNDAY?

So if either George or Carl can get there, it would be appreciated. Please let me know if you do. But I don't expect problems for either of the ladies.

Well, folks, Admin George has decided to move on and won't be moderating any more shows. He may stop in to visit sometime, I don't know. But his workload has picked up - a good thing - so he'll be busy with that.

I will miss most of tomorrow's shows - those that don't get canceled, lol.

I'll be leaving early for Arizona tomorrow morning. Will be stopping along the way, but would expect to get there by 5 Eastern.

Be alert to changes in Wednesday's schedule.

I'm going to be out sight-seeing with my friends all day. So I will most likely miss Sara this evening. Not sure about Tasha. Since Carl and I are the only moderators left, there's no one to fill in, but I know y'all will be good to the ladies. We haven't had any "difficult" members in a few years, so I'm sure all will be well.

Hello dear friends,

I was out of action for a week because I had a heart attack. A blood vessel was blocked, so I was only at about 10% of my capacity.
An ambulance took me to hospital, where I was immediately treated. On top of it all, I had an allergic shock because of a cocktail of blood thinners that I had been injected with.
Man... I was burning... but from the inside. After they injected Hystamines it was OK again, three minutes later.... a real horror trip!
It was only a small heart attack, but even though very dangerous. A small cause but big effect. They fixed it with a Stent, a tiny piece of high tech... with the age I'm slowly transforming into a BORG...

I'm back home and will host Sunny's show, as usual.... I am so happy again.

Holy shit Carl! Thank God you are ok! Please please take care of yourself and do everything they tell you! We want you to be here for a long time. I can't even imagine how scary that was!

What she said, Carl. And, doing what they say includes dietary suggestions.

I don't know your medical situation, including what insurance you have. I do know that many folks don't get medical coverage because they simply not afford it. But do the best you cam. Even basic coverage is better than nothing.

Keep the faith and keep pushing back, Carl. I get the impression that you keep busy, which is good. My worst problem is a lack of exercise. So, as long as you keep active, that's a good thing.

Germany has universal health care. I think it was 1 of the first countries in the world to get it back in the 1800's.

That certainly helps. I've heard that in countries that provide Universal Healthcare that taxes are high. I personally think universal healthcare is a great thing if handled correctly. But I am fast losing confidence that America could do that. People here are so needy for money to live on that they most likely would rebel strongly against tax increases (like they already do against even small increases.).

Well if everyone paid their share there would be plenty of money to go around and have a first class healthcare system. But our tax system is so fucked, with the richest people in the country paying nothing, and all the burden being on you and me.

That's absolutely correct, and was basically what I wanted to say, lol. One of the biggest problems, in addition to what you mention, is the politicians in our congress are all there to get rich. And they do so by supporting their own personal pork-barrel projects. Why, once you are in Congress, you can go to Harvard University and say, "I'll give a talk on my political pursuits. Only $100,000." Don't you wish someone would pay YOU to speak? Hey, Vicky, you owe me $100 for coming here and talking, LOL

There needs to be much stronger limits on political contributions by EVERYONE, corporations included. I don't think that excluding corporations would be fair. But they should certainly be limited. It's the PEOPLE who need to be doing what counts. Kill all the deductions that these corporations use to not pay takes.

Hey Vicky & Walt,
in Germany we have to pay 19% of our income for our heathcare system, plus a part for the meds from a drugstore, approximately 10% up to your income (if you have less than approx. 1100€ it's for free)
The ambulance is for free, as well as the hospital.
It took 10 minutes as the ambulance picked me up and another 10 minutes to transport me to the hospital.
30 minutes later I was treated by a physician, who inserted the Stent into my heart. Most of this time they used to do a blood analysis to get a quick overview over my status.
I was conscious when he did the surgery and the doc explained every step to me because I asked him for it.
Thus, 50 minutes to fix a heart attack is very good treatment, I think.

I'm happy that we have a good healthcare system like that, even though it is the most expensive in Europe.
