If you whisper to the model, she gets a sound on her end, so normally even if she is busy, like I may have a cock in my mouth and not looking at the screen, it makes a yucky sound loud enough to make us look over at the screen, so check with the model if you can. For me I don't want to type, so if you whisper to me private I will answer to the room, but that is fine.

I do think he was sincere Dave, also some people are from different countries, and they speak differently, sometimes they are trying to translate from their own languages and things come out strange. Sometimes we all just need to take a "chill pill". You moderate a lot of shows Dave, I wouldn't want to be you, it's a difficult job and I want you to know how much I appreciate it.

Good enough for me Vicky. When I see him I will apolagize to him. I have thought about the different countries before and to a certan extent the different languages. I'm learning to hold my toung when it comes to the different languages.

I was also looking at that chat transcript button you told me about, I'd seen it and didn't know what it did. Hehe that's kinda neet.
Lol I'll take my "chill pill" before I let things go so far again and ask advice from others.

I want to thank all of you for the advice you have given me. All this has opened my eyes and got me to thinking about how things are "outside my little world".
So dear friends I Thank you

Walt, how did you become so wise? lol...

I haven't seen anybody else write it down yet, but first word that comes to mind when reading what happend is provocation. "You was being a pain in the ass" and "push my buttons or I will kick you off" are, in my honest opinion, comments which made new member Sem point his bow and arrow at the Admin. He starts "shooting" at you, Kansas is returning fire with his own guns and before you're fully aware of what's happening, hell breaks loose.

Dave, I actually think it's funny whenever you say you're "headhunting", BUT... that way you are starting off on the wrong foot. Instead of trying to blow someone's head off, aim at a tree and keep the head attached to the body, lol. When you're moderating a show, just be cool, relaxed, try to maintain a low profile; not jumping on someone instantly when a possible violation of a rule occurs. A member writing in caps doesn't always mean that person is doing it intentionally. The Caps Lock button is often and easily pressed by accident.

I know you for 13 months now and I have a feeling this situation has been on your mind whole day? You're a great guy, with a tremendously big heart, and we all love you, so please, don't take the things we say here the wrong way. (I know you won't, that's why I can speak so open, too.) In some situations there is no right or wrong. Some things are just misunderstood. Sem sounds like a guy my age... would I have handled this differently? Yes, without a doubt. But Walt would most likely have responded in another way, too. And Carl. And Mike. And Rokkerr...

I see Sem has entered the board again... Image ... everybody deserves a second chance. What he said to the Admin in charge was certainly out of line, though. Remember, we all want the same thing; VNALive to be the number one place where every VNALive website member likes to hang out! :icon_wink:

You're absolutely right, Dave. We all grew up in different worlds, so all have a different understanding. And, of course, as Bobbi points out, each model is different. It's like my favorite saying, "We went to different high schools together."

So, as Moderators, we do need to be slow to "drop the hammer." We have to be able to determine, "is this something that hurts the model, or just something that offends me?" And I realise that I am a little older than the rest of you (just a little, don't get edgy, :lmao: :lmao: ) so may interpret things differently, too. So I, as well, need to be cautious in what I say and do. Like I said before, if someone thinks I am out of line, as a member or a mod, please don't hesitate to say something. Another favorite is, "we don't know we're screwing up unless someone tells us."

It is nice to hear that U care about your clients. I was talking normally with Bobbi and the guys and then suddenly I found myself muted!!! I asked him why? He answered in a very rude way. I told him please respect yourself and your members. And instead of saying something good, he said "try to whisper me again and U will be kicked out". And here we started the fight. Is that possible in ur opinion? How will we renew our membership?!!!
Thanks

So according to him, he doesn't even know why he was muted.
talking normaly? lol looks like this guy needs an education on how to talk to people and women in general.

lol

and i hope he knows now not to go up against any mods around here, if a mod tells you something, you better listen.

The thing is, Dave, that you just can't go into moderating a camshow with the attitude of "Look at me, I'm Mr. Moderator; I'm going to bust in and establish the law right away; and anyone who doubts me will get run quick"....a more subtle approach is needed. People have a way of resisting if they feel you are interfering in what they perceive as their business, and sometimes a gentle nudge and a quiet gesture can do even more than simply dropping the block (or, as I call it on my Twitter page, the BAHLOCK) on them. Save that for the real aholes who are out to cause trouble.

On the other hand...once you do block someone, it's best to ignore his screams and not react to him.....if he gets too unruly even after you've run hm; it's best to just give him the permanent hook and move on with the rest. If he feels that he was wrongly booted, he can take his case directly to Vicky or Rokkerr, who can make the final decision. Nothing worse on a sex camshow than an outside argument getting sucked back in.

Too bad I'm working overnight now and have to get my beauty sleep during the day, or I would apply for modding a camshow myself.

hold on anthony, while you do have some good points like:

"People have a way of resisting if they feel you are interfering in what they perceive as their business"
you've read the log, you don't know if the guy was serious or joking. if they come to mess with vna, it's our business.

"and sometimes a gentle nudge and a quiet gesture can do even more than simply dropping the block"
true, but in the moment you can't know for sure, he gave him plenty of nudges, muted & kicked. still he came back.
strike 3 is a valid thing, hell, VNA has a zero tolerance policy, i think it was damn nice of Dave45 to give him 2 passes.

if the a-hole doesn't get it by then, ban his ass. Report him here and let the powers that be handle his case.

"Save that for the real aholes who are out to cause trouble."
how can you tell ? when you're in the moment and things are escalating, you need to do something to maintain the calm in the room.

"On the other hand...once you do block someone, it's best to ignore his screams and not react to him.....if he gets too unruly even after you've run hm; it's best to just give him the permanent hook and move on with the rest."

Reading that log, i think dave45 did the right thing. that guy needs to cool his jets and let others enjoy the show too.

i leave it to Vicky's and Rokkerr's judgment.

Dave talked to him, I talked to him, and now he has contacted Dave45 directly as well. It's all good. He had absolutely no idea that he had insulted Bobbi in any way, it was not his intention, he did over reacted to Dave45 muting him, he has aplogized profusely for the hacking comments and it's all settled now, we can move on.

If a Moderator has a problem and needs a copy of the chat as evidence, use the transcript button to get it.

If you log in at the beginning and stay the whole hour, you get the whole hour. If you log out, then back in about 10 minutes before the show ends, you only get that 10 minutes. Once you log out, then back in, all that's left is about the last 40 lines, which isn't much at all, and the transcript copy button starts all over at that log-in point.

As long as you stay logged in, the chat transcript goes all the way back to the last time you logged in.

You can copy and paste the whole transcript in one swipe, but you can only C&P from the running chat one entry at a time. So, if there's a reason to save a chat, you need to call up the transcript and copy all that you need.

I might suggest that you open Word or WordPad before you log in as Mod. It saves time if you should need it.

I wispered to Sem today in Louise's show and told him that I was sorry we got off on the wrong foot and I hope there is no hard feelings. I feel all is good between us. We decided that we both learned something from this.
The thing is we grew up in different time's and places, raised by different parents and with different values. I was not taking that into consideration when Sem started to get under my skin. me bad!!! I accept my share of the blame for this.
