I found that out by simply looking around the page and trying the buttons. Why won't people open their eyes? I have told people that before, maybe it will be listened to coming from a moderator.

Others may have thought of this before I did, but earlier I started a suggestion that moderators should first "whisper" to folks pushing the line, out of simple courtesy.

Problem is, if there is someone pushing the envelope, we do not know if the moderator is doing anything if we don't see a post. One of those occurred tonite during Julia's show and I finally said something. I have asked Dave before and should have tonite. Sorry, Dave, didn't mean to step on your toes.

So I am going to reverse my position. I now think that all comments by the moderator should be made on the open forum.

For first offenses, we certainly should be courteous and respectful. But I feel it should be on the open forum. We also have very well meaning members who will sometimes say something, and I feel that the members should let the moderator handle any situation. Maybe if the moderators speak on the open forum, other members will realize that we are working the issue. I would also ask that, rather than members addressing an out of line attendee, if you haven't seen the moderator say something, whisper to him to ask if he is doing anything. The general membership should not be trying to handle a situation. That is what the mods are for.

Comments?

Yes, Walt. I agree. The posts in the chat a flying by so quick that there is often no time to whisper to the offender & wait for the answer.
It's better to do it in the open chat. Also, it shows the newbies that VNALive is a save place where they have to behave.

Yes, Vicky. Myself, I will just make a comment once at the start of a show, then again if anyone mentions it (people are coming and going all thru the shows.)

For the moderators of the VNA girls, only!

Please, mention the following link in the cam shows of the VNA girls (not for the girls who are just using the VNALive system):

http://www.vnagirls.com

The advantage is, if members or newbies have other desires than the camgirl will offer they have the chance to search for the girl that fits.
E.g. some are asking for ass actions, but some girls are not into that... so, as admin you can give a hint & the link to find Francesca easily.

& there, you can find more info in compact form, like the links for twitter, the wishlists ...etc

Thanks for your attention :hatsoff:

Does anyone know why "TheDon" has his ip address blocked? He said he made a joke about maple syrop and a toy being too small... Now he's asking for forgiveness and to be unblocked, but I wanna know what happened first.

.... prolly from Demi Dantric last night. Dave was moderating that one, but I was there too, so saw what happend ....

Muting is one thing, kicking is two, but banning someone? Yes, option #3 had to be used on this guy. "TheDon" is the same person who was hanging around in one of Julia's shows couple weeks ago, the one Walt mentioned earlier in this thread. Same thing happend last night; repeatedly posting very up close pictures of his cock, which led to quite some disturbance amongst a few regulars as well as Demi. It killed the whole mood, she finished her show around 10.50pm last night. He always enters the room under the nickname "..." (no, I didn't make that up, lol), constantly rambling on and on about stuff that doesn't make sense, indicating possible use of drugs.....

Around 10.45pm, after a final warning, yet another picture, Dave muted him. MrDon logged out/in within 2 seconds. Dave ended up kicking him out of the room. Again, MrDon re-entered the room within 2 seconds. At that point, the whole show was about MrDon. Demi stopped playing with her dildo, those "dick pics" had totally turned her off....

This was the second time MrDon ruined a show, as the same thing happend on June 12th (Julia Ann). I whispered to Dave he should use option #3 on him given the fact he had upset members and models in both shows! And.... if needed, I would back him up, which is kinda what I'm doing right now. My opinion? Keep his IP blocked, please.

This is the reason Moderators should keep a copy of the chat if there is an issue. I always open an instance of Wordpad when I am moderating. Then, if I have to copy an IPadd, I can do it quickly, along with a note of the issue. Then, there is a "view chat transcript" button that will call up the entire chat since you logged on. At the end of the show, copy that, paste into Wordpad, and you have it I would assume it copies pictures and everything, but I need to try it out. I know that in the main chat wildow, you can only copy one line at a time.

So, each time you block someone, keep a log of the IPADD and the ChatID and the reason. At the end, just email it to Vicky so she will have it on file. And when there is an issue, keep a copy of the chat for the entire show so Vicky can look thru it if need be. Or at least a copy of the pertinent portion.

I know we want to watch the show, but our main job is to monitor the chat and take whatever steps are necessary to keep the peace.

I didn't see everything about "TheDon" but I've seen enough to know that he was obnoxious with his pictures, he was asked MANY times to knock it off, and I even kicked him a couple times, only to have him come right back. If he is continuing after all that, I would agree with GJ. Tell him to Fuck Off. If you want to give him one more chance, explain to him, no cock pics in the chat and no cheap remarks about members or models. Explain that, if he gets banned again, it will be permanent with NO refund! Then write CCBill to look out for him.

And, I'm rethinking talking to perps via Whisper. Pending Vicky's comment and/or agreement, I would say, do everything in the open chat. People need to know you are handling an issue. You can still be nice at first, and only get harder if a Perp keeps it up. But I would say do it all on the open forum so everyone knows you are handling it.

Vicky & Gert-Jan,

Last weekend I did some admin job & found "..." posting dick pics in the chat area.
I remembered that Walt had already gaged & blocked him several times in another show, after whispering to him several times.
So, I've whispered him some warnings & tips how to behave like:
"Please don't always show dick pics in the chat, because the members don't like that... once or twice is ok.
If you want to show up go on cam, please."
I discussed it with Walt this time.
Walt already would have kicked him out.
I thought to give "..." another chance & bring him back in line.
It seemed as it had helped a little, because no more dick pics till the end of the shows.

But now? Is he kidding us? Blocked for "maple syrop and a toy being too small" ? No no... I think he knows excatly for what he was blocked for!
I agree with Gert-Jan, or give him a last chance, but before he needs some advice by a master sergant :-devil: :spank:

Carl :heartflames:

Oops, I see Walt wrote something, too...

OK Walt, I see...

it's a good idea to notice those cases by copying the chat via the script option when the show is over.
& not to forget to notice the IP of the defendant.
So, you have evidence about what has been going on.

To discuss it in the open chat? I think this can waste the whole show.
I think it depends on the situation & each moderator should decide by his own if it is necessary or not.
I made the experience that "bad guys", most times newbies, need some advice or tips how to behave, then it is OK again.
Just my opinion.

I talked to Demi, I'm inclined not to unblock his IP. He already asked CCbill for a refund.

I have been present with this character as well during a few of his appearances as a member in the room and agree with the gents above. Everything they are saying is spot on true. This guy needs to go sooner than later.

The guy I blocked was some joker who just used ... for a name. yes he was posting dick picks making poor coments and pissed Demi off till she cut the show early. I had muted the guy a couple of times and kicked him once. When Demi cut the show early and he kept making the poor coments I just dropped the hammer on him. No more ...
Nuff Said
