Julie's Anniversary

Long time members know what Julie has been through the last 5 years. They have been with her, thick and thin, and have offered her their unwavering support when she most needed it. She Met Gunther at the very beginning of some legal troubles she had. At one point, when things were looking a little dark, he told her, "I can't do this, Julie. I don't think I can wait around."

But, you know what? He did. Such is the magic and allure of our Julie James that he did wait. And when she walked free, he was there for her. He stuck with her and eventually, finally realising the Jewel he really had, he asked her to marry him. She agreed, and the magic began.

Julie, I have "known" you since your first day here. I saw the magic from your very first post. I am proud to have known you all of these years. I know you think that you are "just another person trying to make it thru life," and that's true. But the magic is something that comes from within. It cojmes from the heart, and even from the soul. You have that magic and you wear it well.

I can wish you nothing but the VERY best - a lifetime of love, laughter and warmth and soul deep love that only you deserve. I once told you that you would make it -- and you have.

I love you, my dear friend. Thank you so much for being a part of ThisOldFarts life. I deserve much less.

Happy Anniversary -- and may you have so many more.

Your friend in need, your friend indeed,

:walt:

Awwww thank you, I had such a great day yesterday, at the rodeo, then to Von's for dinner in Edmonton right after to my favorite club Cook County Saloon. Gunther's a total head banger so for him to put up with the rodeo and country music tells me something. On the drive back to his parents place we stopped in Millet and I took him to Pipestone Creek I was on my best behavior in the grass :bj: :hump: :nannerfuck2: :nannerfuck: :icon_jiggle:  :bluewink: For me there was more fireworks last night then there will be tonight, unless we can find a quiet spot, well it won't be that quiet.

Thanks again Walt and Dave :blowingakiss: :blowingakiss: :iloveyou:

Down here, Vons is a supermarket. Did he take you to dinner in the Deli section, with a side trip to the fruits and veggie's section? :nanah:

He took me to the sausage isle and I brought the bun to put it on. Seemed to be a lot of mayo with it, damn I can be so messy. Good thing for napkins, my face cleans up so good  :cheerleader: :innocent:

They say you never forget your first ..... anniversary. Congratulations Julie! Doesn't surprise me you had a good weekend. :icon_wink:

What would you say is the highlight of the past year? Is there anything special that comes to mind? Oh, and did you play "Butterfly Kisses" again?

Yes I sure did play it really loud as I was putting flowers on my dads grave, it would have been his birthday.

Highlites from the last year was moving to Fort Vermilion. I didn't want to go, two days after we moved there it snowed an I thought wow it's the first of October. A few months later I met the kids from the school and they asked me to coach their basketball teams and I have never been more happy with all of them. We formed a bond that is so strong. They made the move there a fantastic time. I write about them lots in my I have a date thread. So much is different here, bears wondering through town and no one seems to worry, except me running for all I'm worth

Julie, remember, if you run, the bears will chase you. That's why you always go out with a friend. That way, you don't have to outrun the bear. You only have to outrun your friend! :rotffl:

Awww thank you, we had a fantastic day together. We spent it back home with family and friends. I also went to my dads grave and put fresh flowers there, it would have been his 75th bday. Gunther went looking for a sports car for us. I really don't want one, I drive way to fast as it is. We did stack bails on his dads farm for a few hours, about time he did some honest work :lmao: he'd make a good farmer, but apparently you don't go to university for 12 years to be a farmer! Later we went for supper in a town called Daysland, my mom had arranged it, was nice of her to do that for us. We left there went to Camrose and had a nice walk along Mirror lake and :bj: :nannerfuck:

Glad to hear you had a great day. Kudos to Mom for fixing you up. I'm sure she's glad to see you married and happy. :icon_wink:

It's hotGirlfriend Julie's anniversary again. Dear Julie was lucky enough to find and snare DrGunther (or maybe he was the lucky one, lol,) and they've been married for 3 (?) years now. I know that Julie is very happy way up there in northern Canada. She and Gunther have adventures most of us only dream of.

I'm so happy for my dear friend Julie, for Gunther, and for all the people up there lucky enough to be their friends.

Happy Anniversary, Julie and Gunther. I really hope that you have a wonderful and happy day, that you have many memories all ready, and that you are just at the beginning of many, many more.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, Julie and Gunther :bouncy3: :bouncy7: :excited: :yeahbaby: :iloveyou: :bigjump: :lovers: :kissing: :happydog:

Thanks Walt we had a great day, we're home for the week. Went for dinner at a little cafe in Wetaskiwin that we both like. The milkshakes are so good. Last week we put an offer on a house, we never got the one on native land. This one's so nice, they have two antique cars and Gunther had them write in the contract that their part of the deal. I said why don't you get them to throw in the 40' motorcoach too! I got the "your not helping look." So it's wait and see what they say.

I tried to attach the pictures of the house but it said my pixels are to big, not sure what those are, maybe I better workout more :situps:

Wow! 2 old Antique autos? I noticed you didn't say what kind. And, no, dear, I didn't mean "2 black ones with 4 wheels." :lmao:

There are a few real oldies I like - the '32 Ford Coupe, for example. Commonly known as the Deuce Coupe, the name was derived from the year. So it's kind of a double-entendre to call it a '32 Deuce Coupe. In other words, you won't find a '33 Deuce Coupe.

A somewhat well known Deuce is John Milners. Here's a video of that one (ok, it's a copy, but a good one.)

And the classic tribute. Note how they're dressed in the audience. In 1964, that's the way it was.

There were several early Fords that were pretty cool cars. Even tho I'm a GM guy, mostly Chevy and Pontiac. I was blown away when Pontiac shut down.
