OK...since NFL training camps are now officiially open, I believe that it's time to start a thread for VNA fans of American football..both for the colleges and the NFL.

Whom is your favorites to follow, both pro and college? And....your early picks to win the BCS championship and Super Bowl XLIII??

I'll break the ice with my own:

College teams: Louisiana State (aka LSU); Louisiana-Lafayette (aka the "Ragin Cajuns"); Southern University (aka, the Jaguars) (Note, I attended both ULL and Southern.)
Pro team: New Orleans Saints (Yup, I be a proud "WhoDat")

And NO, Soccer Fan, this is not the place for you to intervene with: "But our sport is BETTER!!!" Don't. Get. Me. Started. :lmfao:

Ok, I'm taking one for the team here, but, I mean, VNA cam shows on Playoff Sunday? What's up with that? I mean, did God forget to wire that part of a woman's brain? Did he wire it backwards? (Synchronized Swimming is not a "sport." )

hahahaha....I'd rather watch a good VNA show any day of the week, rather than endure another Carolina/Arizona playoff game. I wanted to poke my eyes out and pray to never see anything as boring as that again for as long as I live.

At least the Ravens/Steelers game had a pulse.

If this keeps up I'm going to threaten to start an Official Baseball Thread :)

Sorry Mikey, you're Canadian so you're not qualified to do a baseball thread...

Canada has Baseball. Don't they still have the Toronto Blue Jays? Or am I that far out of touch?

I'm not a huge Dallas fan but honestly, instant replay is ruining every American sport. If a man cannot catch a football, change hands with the ball, and reach for a goal line, and have it not be a catch, then I need to find another way to waist a Sunday afternoon.

Attention my beloved baseball....you're next.

I'm torn by that call. Being a Dallas fan, I was upset.

1. The ball definitely hit the ground and came out. To me, that makes it incomplete. But,

2. He "re-caught" the ball before it hit the ground again. So, does that make it a completed pass? I truly don't know. But I will say that the rule they quoted is stupid and should not be a 'rule."

Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders is back on. Right now they're showing past episodes, but this is an intro to the new season.

If you like pretty ladies in skimpy outfits moving for your pleasure - well, they're moving to make the team, lol - this is a great show to watch IMHO. It's on CMT in the afternoon, around 2 - 4 EDT or so. They're showing 2 or 3 episodes a day. You'll really get your fill.

Check your TV channel guide and get with the program. :yeahbaby:

Just announced, New DCC season, Thurs, Aug 6th, 11 EDT. Right in the middle of my FREAKIN' vacation  Thank goodness I just bought a new DVR. Won't miss it after all. And so much better than my old, low resolution, clunky VCR.

Do you need motivation? And this is only 7. There's about 45 or more that start Training Camp, and 36 on the final team.

I guess this one kind of fell by the wayside. So I thought I'd revive it.

I'm sitting here with my Friday night hard-on watching The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders on CMT - Season 16, Episode 9. Not sure how many episodes are left this season, but maybe 3 or 4. It's Friday nights 9 PM EST. I gotta admit, this season's candidates are among the hottest I've seen. Every season I say, "These are the hottest ever. No WAY they can top these beauties." But next season, they do.

I really like the program. The DCC are the premier Cheerleading organization out there. And this program, every year, starts fresh. Maybe a couple hundred candidates. The first two or three episodes, they whittle that group down to around 50. Then the episodes get into training, Dress, Style, how to act, how to pose, and, yes, how to dance.. The final number is usually around 36. So, as they move forward, it gets harder and harder to decide who to keep and who to let go. Tonight, they found out that, this far into the season, one of the candidates was also trying out for the Rockettes. Well, they couldn't carry a girl halfway through the season just to have her quit. So they let her go. Then there was another I thought they were going to let go. But after talking to her, they kept her on. It's really difficult as you get into the show. The girls work very hard. Most of them start out as kids. So by the time they get to this point, they're deep into the profession. Art this point, it's hard to see one get cut. I'm guessing next week, one or two might get the axe.

If it sounds interesting, Friday nights, CMT, 9 PM Eastern. I'm afraid you probably won't get it in Europe.
