Sucking up to a communist dictator? Who starves his people while he lives in opulence? I just don't get this... you can't ignore politics like it's not happening. If you are in a position of fame or power, you should use that to your advantage and do some good for mankind. How can you ignore people's suffering? Especially a fellow American who did nothing wrong. What an insult - Singing Kim Jong Un happy birthday publicly? It's a slap in the face, Kim is using him as a propaganda tool, how can he not see that? I can't believe he convinced other basketball players to go with him. Others have done similar too like Jennifer Lopez doing appearances in Turkey. I guess some people will do just about anything for money. Makes me sick.

Unfortunately, in todays world, "fame" does not translate to "intelligent." The youth of today worships those who slander, lie, belittle, talk of violence (did you know M&M was a wife beater? And bragged about it?) cheat, lie and generally backstab those around them. This is the flag of today's youth.

Vanessa Williams lied to Miss USA officials, was called out on it, and became a star. Miley turns herself into a freakish little twerp, and get's instant stardom out of it. Justin Bieber is an impatient little boy who rants, stomps around, orders around his subordinates as lower class citizens, Lindsey Lohan drives drunk, several times, steals, generally creates mayhem wherever she goes, and is revered as a goddess - yes, the list goes on and on. 30 years ago, any and all of these nitwits would have not just have been downgraded, they would have been blacklisted for the things they get away with today. This is why you do not give undisciplined kids millions of dollars. They have no clue how to live moral, intelligent, responsible lives. And the youth of today look up to them. It is just plain sad.

Yes, and Dennis Rodman is an unrefined idiot. I quit paying attention to him when he decided he wanted to look like a walking jewelry shop. He is agreeing that the American prisoner that N Korea is holding is guilty, without knowing a single, solitary fact about the issue. Is Lee Harvey Oswald still around?

I'm not sure, Walt, that I'd put Vanessa Williams not revealing a girl/girl Penthouse simulated sex scene she did prior to becoming Miss America, or Miley Cyrus pretending to be a twerk expert, on the same level as DRob palling around with dictators who have their enemies fed to the dogs, or even Beiber letting the blow get to his brain. I don't blame them personally; I blame the Hollywood system that puts young actors in a fishbowl and demands that their every move get public scrutiny and analysis, in exchange for the big bucks. Some people take fame better than others, but the Hollywood propaganda machine simply builds them up and grinds them out so quickly that they don't even get a chance to rest on their fame and fortune.

The difference is that no one got killed or murdered when Vanessa Williams did that Penthouse pictoral shoot, or when Miley did her twerking. Lindsey Lohan drunk behind the wheel, on the other hand, is a legitimate threat. DRodman chasing around dictators with nuclear bombs isn't too far behind, either.

Yeah, you're right, Anthony. Sometimes I focus on what are really minor things, for unknown reasons. Vanessa Williams seems to have made a very nice place for herself in Hollywood.

I guess I was trying to focus on other people violating standards of good moral value, when I certainly have no leg to stand on myself, famous or not.

And you are certainly right about the system taking child actors and chewing them up. The percentages may be different, but it's really no different from normal, everyday life. Some kids from terrible backgrounds grow up to be great people, while some kids from great backgrounds grow up to be thieves and worse.

I am certainly no innocent angel, and have no idea how I would have responded to a million dollar income at 18 years of age.

Gawd I hate Dennis Rodman!!!! Now he has invited a report to come to North Korea with him so he can prove how a dictator can be a "nice guy". Who gives a flying f*^#k if he's a "nice guy" on a personal level. I'm sure Hitler was great to have a beer with too!
