Saw Kong:Skull Island yesterday and enjoyed it. Much better than the last few Kong movies. John C. Reilly and Samuel L. Jackson did a great job. There are hints during the movie that this takes place in the same world as the last Godzilla movie but the post credits scene definitely sets up King Kong Vs Godzilla. And for you old school monster movie fans the tease of Gamera, Rodan, and King Ghidora

Saw Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 earlier this week. Very enjoyable. Very nearly as awesome as the first movie. Same basic formula; great music, great one-liners, lots of action, lots of nods to the comics. Five mini-scenes during the credits. Highly recommended, might go see it again, will probably own it at some point.

I didn't see Jack Reacher bc I heard it was awful. I did, however, enjoy the other movies mentioned above. Beauty and the Beast, Pete's Dragon, etc.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVED Guardians of the Galaxy 2!

Took mom to see Snatched for Mother's Day. WAY funnier than I expected it to be ... and hey... you get to see her boob in it... so bonus there, huh!?

The Fate of the Furious I loved but I love ALL those movies,,, despite they all drag out and they're unrealistic ...

Boss Baby was cute & funny

Beauty and the Beast was very well done

How to Be a Latin Lover I found much better than I expected. Very funny!

Gifted was a great movie ... if you like to cry at the theater, that is

Going in Style was also a cute movie.

Smurfs I found disappointing

Born in China was ADORABLE .... but also sad....

Lost City of Z was a good movie ... left ya kinda like .. ugh ... whatever after putting in THAT much time ... and I half fell asleep a few times. Don't know if it's because I was tired, or bored, or what.

I thought Guardians of the Galax;y 2 was great. I'm betting Baby Groot will be the marketing phenomenon of the year.

I saw Alien: Covenant and I would consider it only okay. The way it followed all the basic horror movie tropes you will know whats going to happen long before it does. Definitely no surprises to be had.

Saw the new Pirates of the Caribean today and really enjoyed it. If you liked the first ones you would really like this one. While it didnt bring anything really new to the series it was a lot of fun to watch.

I just saw a movie called "The Game Plan." I recently received an Amazon shipment, and one of the contents was this movie. Stupid old fart. I could not, for the life of me remember why I had ordered it. Does it have naked babes? Well, it's a Disney movie, so, no. It stars Dwayne Johnson. Well, I like The Rock. But, that in itself wouldn't be enough to make me buy it. Well, I put it on and watched it.

I'm not going to give it away, but it's basically a kids movie. Dwayne is basically a football star quarterback. One day a little girl shows up, saying she is the 8 or 10 Y.O. daughter he didn't know he had. He wasn't married, so led the typical bachelor football star's life. Needless to say, a kid didn't really figure into his plans. So the movie is all about how all this plays out, including a bit of a shocker as to why the girl really shows up in Dwayne's life. I kept watching, and found out at the very end why I bought it. While the credits roll, the cast was clowning around, acting silly and singing along to Elvis' "Burning Love." Then I remembered. I was looking for the song for another reason when I ran across the clip on Youtube. When I saw The Rock and all these other people acting silly, that was enough reason for me to buy the movie.

Having kids, Charlee, and liking kids movies, I think you might like it. It's not about football, except for small parts, and it's not a current movie, 2007 I think. So you'll have to rent or buy it. But I am thinking you will be glad you did. I enjoyed it. I will most likely even watch it again at some point.

While the credits are rolling, there is a cast sing-along of Elvis' "Burning Love." I like this song. It has a very happy lilt to it. You might even find yourself and the kids singing along, too. If you should watch it, I'm betting "happy time" for you and the kids.

Saw Wonder Woman today. I thought it was very good. The best of the DC extended universe movies so far.

Went and saw Spiderman:Homecoming today and really enjoyed it. It felt the most like the spiderman from the comics. Just a fun movie. This is the sixth spiderman movie so far. This is the second reboot of the series and when they are rebooting the reboot you have to wonder how good it will be. The first 2 were very good but I think this one just edges them out as the best. Spiderman 3 was lousy and the 2 Amazing Spiderman movies that came out recently were pretty mediocre. If you are a fan of the marvel movies I think you will enjoy it

I agree. I went and saw Spider-man Homecoming last night and also felt that it was the best of the Spider-man movies and captured the feel of the comics I grew up reading better than the others (except I never had a crush on Aunt May back then). Also, Marvel did a better job developing the villain than they usually do, which added a great deal to the movie. Finally, both stingers were well done and also, I was glad I found out about boom box guy before the movie, it was a cool touch.

Saw Valerion and the City of 1000 planets. I enjoyed it. If you liked the Fifth Element you would probably like this. I wasnt impressed with Carla Delevigne in Suicide Squad but she did a much better job here. I think the weakest performance was the lead actor playing Valerion. He was ok, but just ok. Nothing special.
The scenery and the special effects were beautiful to look at though.

I saw Atomic Blonde today and enjoyed it quite a bit. Its a cold war spy action movie. Of course with a spy movie you have twists and then twists on the twists, double agents and triple agents and so on so the story could get a little convoluted. The action sequences were great and I loved the music. Charlize Theron makes a good action hero and it seemed much more realistic (if that term can be used in action movies) than all those movies where the male action heroes walk away from huge brawls without a bruise or scar.

So I went and saw The Dark Tower. It has been getting bad reviews, but a friend wanted to go see it so I went. I didn't think it was nearly as bad as the reviews are making it out to be. Now I have not read the books so that may be the difference. I thought both Matthew McConaughey and Idris Elba gave great performances. I thought the story was pretty good and overall I enjoyed it. Not the greatest movie but not terrible like it is being made out to be.

When I went to see IT the show was sold out so I saw The Hitmans Bodyguard with Ryan Reynolds and Samual L. Jackson. I have to say I really enjoyed it. It was a lot better than I thought it would be Very funny. Was definitely worth seeing.

When I did get to see It I was very impressed. I liked the tv miniseries that came out in the 80's and thought Tim Curry was the perfect Pennywise. I didnt know how Bill Skarsgard would compare but he was great. He made the part his own. And I have to say all the child actors were really impressive. While they did make some changes from the book as they always do, I thought it all worked well. I am looking forward to the next one.

Finally just saw Kingsman: The Golden Circle. I think that it is just as good as the first one. If you liked the first one you will want to see this one also. I just hate that the trailers gave away what should have been the biggest surprise in the movie.

I saw "American Made" this morning. I thought it was good, altho it ended rather suddenly. I guess I expected it, tho, considering the way things were going. Pertty good story about how someone with a dream job and a dream family can get drug into the underbelly of society. It's based on a true story.

I haven't been to the movies in a long time, but this one caught my eye. I was thoroughly entertained once again by the Coen Brothers. Their movies are as unique as a Tarentino flick and I always look forward to seeing what they have up their sleeve. :goodpost:

I saw Blade Runner 2049 and very much enjoyed it. You dont have to have seen the original to follow this one but if you enjoyed the original you would probably get a little more out of it. If you are interested in it this is one movie that really should be seen on the big screen.

Also saw Geostorm. I wasnt planning on seeing it but went with some friends (more to be social than actually caring about the movie) and have to admit it wasnt nearly as bad as I thought it would be ( which isnt saying all that much really). its a disaster movie with lots of good special effects. Take that for what its worth.

I saw Thor: Ragnarok and thought it was a lot of fun. This one was played for a lot more humor. I'd say it had more in common with Guardians of the Galaxy than with the last 2 Thor movies. It also make good use of the Hulk. I'd recommend it

I was reading about the MoviePass service and it sounds too good to be true. Has anyone subscribed to it? $10 a month and you get to go to 1 movie a day every day?

Never heard of it. But, then, I don't go to that many movies.
