Summer movies for kids ... means LOTS of popcorn in my belly all summer long ... so far have seen Turbo (about a snail) and Monsters VS Aliens. Both were pretty good for kids movies. Turbo was my favorite of the two so far.

Did you guys hear this news? Image

An Insidious Inside Out screening mix-up has left parents furious and children terrified after showing the wrong movie to a family audience!

Jazmyn Moore posted to the Journal-News Facebook page that she took five children to the Danbarry Cinema in Middletown, Ohio, last week to see the new Disney movie 'Inside Out'. After getting snacks and sitting through previews, the theater's lights dimmed, but what appeared on the screen was not the PG-rated animation. Moore said images of children being tied up and murdered appeared on the screen, and the children with her became terrified at the sights and sounds. She said that she and other adults scooped up their kids and rushed out of the theater.

An employee in the projection booth accidentally played the PG-13 rated movie 'Insidious: Chapter 3' instead of 'Inside Out', according to a manager at Danbarry Cinema. The manager on duty at the time of the mix-up apologized for the accident and everyone received a pass as well as an upgrade to watch the Disney movie in 3-D.

"I got our money back but the damage is already done ... my children are terrified and keep asking questions", Moore said in her Facebook post.

EEK! I can't imagine that ... but one would assume via the previews (that are generally of the same nature as the movie that's about to be presented) the parents would have figured out in advance that the movie about to play wasn't the correct one!?!? Just a guess as a mother who takes not only her kids to the movies (and OFTEN) but as a regular solo movie-goer.

Treated one of my kiddos tonight to Ted 2. He's been dying to see it. Highly inappropriate as I expected it to be (WAY MORE SO THAN 1st) ... but very funny. Could have waited for it to leave the theater but it's the one thing he wanted to do this weekend so I made sure it happened for him.

Walt ... I do NOT do butter on my popcorn. ICK! lol ... in fact, I don't do butter on ANYTHING!

:) Never been a butter person ... I don't know why. Maybe because it was always one of my moms favorites? Ya know how kids used to steal candy and eat it? Moms vice was butter .... ICK!!!

I've always enjoyed it, in moderation, of course. You know, on toast, on my veggies (to make them edible, lol,) biscuits, corn on the cob, potatoes, etc. I switched from butter to oleo when they started on the fat-free craze. I still eat oleo, but still use butter (unsalted) on occasion, when frying an egg, or when I go to a movie, lolol.

Best use of a cube of butter? Smear it on a pair of hot boobies, then lick it off. Now come on, Charlee, even you would go nuts over that one :lmao:

You wouldn't have to eat it, just endure it, lol

I saw Trainwreck on saturday. A very funny movie. I had not seen much of Amy Shumer's work before but she did a great job with the script & acting in it.

^I also saw Trainwreck! It was awesome! It had me laughing so hard I almost cried at some moments...and a couple parts where I seriously needed to cry! I would even go see it again. xD

I also saw The Gallows a week ago. It was a jump scare, Paranormal Activity-esque movie. It creeped me out but the way it's filmed and things popping out is what made it scary. The acting wasn't that great though.
Watching scary movies really doesn't help me when I work on night shift though. x/

Minions and Inside Out seem very cute...but it's not a thing 21 year olds do without some kind of kid present. Haha.

I'd like to see both .... but will probably end up waiting until no longer in the theater (mainly because I've been going to the movies at least once a week all summer and many weeks more than once a week!!

I also saw Antman and I enjoyed it. I like those types of movies so knew what to expect going in, but I'd say it was worth the trip to the theater.

Also just recently saw Vacation. Really funny. Laugh out loud, people snorting they were laughing so hard funny at times. This weekend taking the kiddos to see Shaun the Sheep.

I actually thought about seeing Vacation with my niece but wasn't sure if it'd live up to the original Vacation movies...but we saw Paper Towns instead. It was an alright movie. xD

I've not seen Paper Towns yet. Vacation lived up to the original IMO ... dirtier than the original thus more "with the times" you could say. Lots of parts were more funny if you've seen the original ... person I went with hasn't yet seen original.

Shaun the Sheep was surprisingly funny. I'd forgotten about the Wallace and Gromit videos (the ones the writer is famous for) having no speaking in them ... this followed suit. Cute movie for kids ... most adults wouldn't be too thrilled with it.
