I watched it yesterday. Not a bad flick.

I watched Samaritan today. I thought it was ok. Fairly formulaic. I have to say I figured out the movie's big reveal during the opening scene.

Haha - so did I! I would have been more surprised if they didn't do that... but you could see it coming a mile off!

Just got around to seeing Jurassic World Dominion on the peacock network and have to say a little disappointed. It was fun seeing the characters from the original Jurassic Park back but thought it was just average. The second movie ended with the dinosaurs being loosed upon the world and set up this movie to be dealing with that, but very little of it does. Most of it takes place on a secure island just like all the others

Saw Ghostbusters Frozen Empire and thought it was very good but what is going on with movie theaters lately. The movie was supposed to start at 5:30 and first there was literally 20 minutes of commercials. What the hell. Paying these prices and you still have to sit thru 20 minutes of commercials. Then the previews so the movie starts 30 minutes after its starting time. Ridiculous

I went to see Dune 2 over the easter weekend, but my son started to have a seizure during the gladiator scene and we had to leave.

I have to say the Denis Villeneuve (the director) has done a good job with transferring the story from book to screen. I read the Dune trilogy while I was at university and remember thinking how hard it would be to transfer the story to movie.

Also, say Denis interviewed on the Colbert Show, and he indicated there is going to be a third movie...

I read a series of Westerns years ago, something like 23 books. Years later, "How The West Was Won" came out, I remembered the books and wondered if the idea hadn't come from that series. The books follow one family member down to the Alamo, for example, where he was one of the last to leave, others ended up involved in the forming/building of San Francisco and Denver, lots of well-known events worked into the story.

So, if "How The West Was Won" wasn't patterned after the books, then someone should step in and do a movie about this series. But it would have to be a long one ~3 hours, with, again, a stellar cast.
