Great to see Charlee you are a movie follower. I think on this forum of yours you should be a movie critic.

Love you Charlee.

Guardians of the Galaxy was AWESOME.... now granted ... I'd heard so many good things about it that it personally didn't live up to the hype, that being said, I still loved it ... and I WILL be doing the "Plant a Tree for Groot" challenge :)

I also just saw Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles the other day with a friend. To be completely honest, I wasn't really interested in the movie at all. I wasn't ever into the cartoons, etc... but that's what was chosen between Let's Be Cops and TMNT, so I went along with it. I was pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed it much more than I thought I would - and Shredder was pretty kick ass!!

i agree, din't know a thing about guardians, i had to go see it twice, once in english 3D and once in french with a bud and his kid.

As for tmnt, at 1st i didn't like the way they looked in the trailer (i hate when they change my childhood stuff, am i old yet? :walt: )

so i was hesitant to shell out 15$ (hehe get it ? shell out)

but loved it, it's pretty kick ass !

this was the summer of the blockbuster movies.

Expendables 3 disappointed me tho, i loved the 2nd one, only liked the 1st (much darker, and imho would've been better wihout the motorcycle gang scenes and Rourke's scenes) but the 3rd movie left me thinking the old action heroes were done for.

me thinks the next movie will be just the young ones, maybe Stalone and Statham will be there but who knows about the rest.

i also did enjoy the transformers at the start of summer.

I enjoyed Transformers as well. I was definitely pleasantly surprised with TMNT! I never saw the first 2 Expendables, so skipped that, but may go see Let's Be Cops tomorrow :)

i think it's cool that you like action movies

Well imho, if you're gonna try The Expendables, start with the 2nd. its much better, a bit lighter and funnier, it's a good action hero movie. You can really feel the camaraderie between the actors more in this one.

The order of the movies isn't important for continuity anyway.

if you like action movies, The Raid and The Raid 2 are amazing action...the fight scenes are the best i've seen

I'll have to check them out! I like pretty much ALL kinds of movies ... but movies with subtitles drive me crazy because it hurts my eyes after a while ... otherwise .. I'm game for whatever! I did go see Let's Be Cops. I also watch New Girl so could truly appreciate these tow actors together even more than someone who may not watch that show. Very funny movie!

The original ... bombed in my opinion ... though I'm sure at some point we've all dreamed about what it would be like to ride a giant wave ... along side someone who could do a better job of acting ... but I'd probably go see the remake once it comes out. Can't be worse than the first! Well .... it COULD be ... but I doubt it would be!

I saw "Dracula" over the weekend. It has some points in it where we thought .... hmmm... they didn't think that out so thoroughly, otherwise ... really enjoyed it!

I haven't really found many movies that excite me lately although there are a few now that I'd go to. Saturday I went to "Alexander...." and it was cute and a bit funny. Personally for the price I could have waited for Netflix but it is good to watch with the kids. It reminded me that movies don't all have to be about huge budgets and special effects to be good.

:) I think the best part of Dracula was the company :)

I'm REALLY wanting to see Gone Girl .... everyone is raving about it ... and I have a date to watch Interstellar with a friend as soon as it comes out - and he even wants to D-box it ... hope it doesn't make me sick lol!!
