I could tell you why it was pulled, but I would have to kill you..........

The second series of Britannia (about Roman invasion of Britain) is on. I'm being good and watching each episode as it's shown weekly - honest.
It is pretty darned good - if anything even better than first series.
I thought it was really spooky with Veren and the Druids being more featured in this series.
Then the Dead Man entered with his apples and things got even more bizarre.

And then, in this week's episode the captured Druid woman got the torturer to walk into a fire and kill himself. Which was pretty weird, until she tried a similar trick on the Roman General!

WTF is going on?????

I seriously you suggest you watch it - makes Game of Thrones look like a kiddies show!!

BBC have just shown a mini-series (3 x 90 mins episodes) of a detective/psych series called "Vienna Blood".
It is set in - OK you guess where - in 1902 when Freud was lecturing etc.
There is a down-trodden Inspector who has to let a young "Neurologist" called Dr Max Liebermann accompany and observe him on his cases.
Max is Jewish (which becomes significant as the series progresses) and is more a psychologist/psychotherapist - think criminal psychologist/profiler along the lines of "Mind Hunter".
It is based on a series of books written by Frank Tallis and works really well - with the assessment of crime scenes etc and the novelty of being set in Vienna (as opposed to London, New York or LA) in the early 20th Century.
No naked ladies rokker (except after they're dead and on the mortuary slab) but really good stuff.
Brits - go an take a look on i-Player, US chaps - not sure if you will be able to get it!

I'm like 4 or so episodes in.

Typically I'm into this fantasy genre stuff, but this show is hard to watch.

The Witcher had me a little confused at first then I realized that the three main characters stories were taking place in different time periods and it all fell into place for me. Yennifer's story starts about 30 years before Geralts and Ciris story takes place about 12 years after his. It is exploring some of the same events but from different perspectives at different points in time. As the series progresses Yennifers story catches up to Geralts and then both catch up to Ciri. So her story covers about 50 years and his about 20. And there is lots of sex and nudity so that is good lol.

If you haven't played the Witcher video game, it's kind of going to be hard to grasp the story and how things play out to be honest.
