I really enjoy the marvel series on netflix as well. Looking forward to the next ones. Luke Cage, Iron Fist and then the Defenders.
Stranger Things was really good as well.

I've got to throw in my recommendation for Stranger Things as well. Without doubt one of the best shows for a while. If you've not started it, get on it now.

And yes, I can't wait for more Daredevil and Jessica Jones as well as the new ones coming.

New season of Black Mirror just went up on Netflix, I watched the first two episodes last night and was pleasantly disturbed by both stories. If you haven't seen previous seasons it's okay to jump ahead, each episode is self contained.

I really enjoyed Luke Cage. For the Sci Fi fans I have been enjoying Dark Matter. If you like British police dramas Luther starring Idris Elba is very good. I have like him in everything I have seen him in.

Did anyone watch the first episode of the new season of Walking Dead last night? It was disgusting and so violent, I found it hard to watch. I had to disassociate myself from it and keep saying, it's not real, it's just a show, just effects...

I watched it with a group of friends and we've been watching the series together from the beginning. The women in the group were definitely emotional about the outcome of the cliffhanger. I thought it was a brutal but necessary turn to introduce the new bad guy. They did a great job with the effects and sound design, nauseating. :axchase: :axchase: :axchase:

Andrew Lincoln looked convincingly terrified and Jeffrey Dean Morgan was absolutely menacing, we're off to a good start.

Watched that episode of Walking Dead too. I admit I closed my eyes for the gorey stuff. I am not good with that.

Had a great couple nights watching Billy Bob Thornton in Goliath on Amazon...

.. including this girl who plays a hooker... :yeahbaby:

Been doing a bit of Billions on Amazon...

... and we watched When Porn Ends 2 on Netflix.
I was disappointed... it was not terribly in depth at all and I thought played like an episode of Entertainment Tonight...

One of the girls Chasey Lain was on there ... she famously battled demons..

... fluff like ''I have websites'' to help play the bills is kind of boring compared to in depth issues that performers seem to go through as they exit the business...
My 2 cents...

Anyone else see the movie?

Don't know if you guys have the same shows on your Amazon Prime or Netflix over there, but here are ones I like
Netflix - i-Zombie (great detective come comedy about girl who gets turned into zombie and helps solve crimes by eating victims' brains and getting visions) Watch for different brain recipe every week - and did you know Seattle was the zombie capital of USA?
Dr Who -catch up on those Peter Capaldi/Jenna Coleman episodes before he regenerates (oops spoiler alert - he did on Saturday on the BBC)
Santa Clarita Diet - great comedy about suburban housewife who becomes zombie/vampire and needs to eat humans - guy who was in Justified as Marshall plays her husband. Bit gory but really funny.

Amazon Prime - Lucifer - great show with English guy as Devil living in Los Angeles running a club. Gets involved helping hot detective solving crimes. Then his brother angels and mother come to visit. Really good fun
- American Gods - only 1 series but really good adaptation of Neil Gaiman's book. Ian McShane is super as Mr Wednesday (Odin).
- Preacher - adaptation of comic book with all sorts of stuff going on with "Exodus" voice of God that Jesse the Preacher has that impels people to do things. Great Irish vampire in it and the "angels' in the first series are really funny!
Here was certainly a sin worth sinning and I applied myself with characteristic vigour to its practice

Binge watched this one last week - pretty impressed at the $$$ AMC is throwing into their series these days. I got burned out on Walking Dead, so I'm glad that channel has diversified into another series with a sense of humor.

Haven't caught up on Dr Who since Matt Smith & the John Hurt Christmas episode, I'll need to catch the Capaldi years.. I grew up loving the show, particularly the Tom Baker period.

Here's a fun short for you Peter

Preacher is great. Love Dr Who Peter Capaldi was great I thought. Just finished the season finale and I think it was one of the best finales they've had in a while. You could tell Steven Moffet wanted to end his reign strong.

Capaldi has the honour of making me re-think Tom Baker as best ever Dr Who! - His Scottish grumpiness is brilliant and the episodes with Missy in them are superb. I hate Nardol and wanted him killed off in second episode of this series! The series started of weakly (the wooden house episode one of the worst for some time) but as the overall seeies plot filled out it did improve and as you say the end of the finale worked well. I'm sad Capaldi is going - here's a test for you, what others characters has he played in Dr Who?. Sorry to the ladies out there, but I'm glad that they are not having a female doctor - and I think the age is right!

Second series of Preacher is looking good - sorry I got confused with Exodus for Genesis last post!
Never bothered with Walking Dead - too serious and depressing for me.
But 17th July its back - Game of Thrones - with the best character in one of these series - Tyrion! (mind you I'm quite a fan of his henchman Bron too!).

Over here the third (and final) series of The Leftovers is about to start - first series was great, second reasonable, so I'm wondering what this is going to be like. Book was disappointing - don't bother with it!

I wasn't to fond of Nardol at the beginning either but I liked him about half way through.

I don't remember the character name but Capaldi was in the fires of Pompeii episode and he was in Torchwoods children of earth
