I heard a lot of people talking about it, saying they love it, that you get seasons of shows way before netflix, like for example they have season 2 of Blacklist already, and Netflix doesn't have it yet. So I tried the 10 day free trial, it's $7.99 a month, same price as netflix, but I was shocked to see that it actually has commercials! WHY WOULD I PAY FOR A CHANNEL AND THEN GET INSULTED WITH COMMERCIALS? If I wanted to see commercials during Blacklist I could just watch it on regular TV!

I have Hulu Plus. I don't use it as much as Netflix. The commercials are an issue with me.

There are extensions you can download for your browsers that kill the advertising.

I"ve mentioned somewhere before about Chromecast. It's $35 and it's yours. No extra or hidden fees, no commercials, no nothing. First, it only works thru Google, but it will even work on this page, if I wanted. You install the unit on your TV, set up your computer (or mobile,) and you're ready. You can download the mobile app, or set it up on your computer. You go to your computer to start it, but once you've selected something to watch, the Chromecast unit becomes a modem. Netflix, for example, downloads directly to the Chromecast unit, freeing up your computer for other things, such as leaving it alone. :lmao: It powers from an included power unit or, if you have a USB port on your TV, it powers from there, eliminating another cord to another wall socket.

It doesn't work with as many things as Roku or Hulu or Amazon Fire, I think. But it only costs $35, while the others are $100 or more. So I subscribed to Netflix and am watching movies and documentaries I've missed. Chromecast works with at least 57 websites http://chromecast.com/apps, most I have never heard of. Some of them, like Hulu Plus and Netflix, are subscriber sites. Others like Youtube, are free. You can even find entire concerts on Youtube, which I think is great.

They all have plusses and minuses, so it's your choice. NetFlix doesn't have commercials, either. Like you, I'd be pissed if I paid for a service and found that they still felt the need to cram obnoxious commercials down my throat.

I would say look into Chromecast, Vicky. http://www.google.com/intl/en/chrome/de ... ampaign=en

I just ordered the roku stick, which i find is pretty interesting. It takes a non wifi tv and makes it wifi. We bought a cheap tv for outside. It's covered by a roof out back but open on the sides. I'm not sure how long it will last, it won't get rained on, but you know it's damp here in florida... so I got this roku stick that plugs into the hdmi port and then you can watch netflix, hulu, amazon, crackle and a bunch of other things on it... i love that it plugs in, so when I go to GA and stay in the camper, we can just plug it in there or anywhere else we go... It was $39 I think...

Hey Vicky! You can get some extra stuff if you buy and set up a Chromecast by next Wednesday. I just got mine last week.

Thats the same issue I had with Hulu Plus. Of course, I'd been using the site when it was still new, and its entire library was free and commercial free :(
