I kinda though that James Deen was a bit on the rough side with some female performers, even as he did build a reputation as the industry's house "male feminist" and the main organizer of the industry opposition to California's condom mandate initiatives. Perhaps that what makes Stoya's accusation sting that much more within the industry.

A good point was made there. This most likely will be a "he said/she said" situation. However, I see a couple things working against him. One of his ex-girlfriends has publicly supported Stoya and more may come out of the woodwork by those who were once too scared to speak out, and the silence (so far) from Deen's side is quite telling. Guilty or not, he's in deep shit personally and professionally.

Really? That's the best he can do? If the allegations were false, I would be all over the place with rebuttals.

Janes Deen is one of the major players on the Kink series of sites. Most folks know that those sites pretty much depict generally serious violence against women.

If the ladies are happy with what they are doing/enduring, good for them. I imagine that they get paid pretty well, and there are a number of women who come back repeatedly for more violent encounters.

But, for a male actor to let such activity to spill over into his personal life is, of course, totally unacceptable. Yes, I like bondage. But what I prefer is called "love bondage." No violence, no hitting, slapping or hurting, no degradation of my partners. Very mild stuff.

Considering he has done nothing to refute Stoya's allegations is very telling. Seems he has let his job go to his head, and has apparently become a little self-important. A legend in his own mind, if you will.

I agree, Shaft. Deen is in deep shit. If one of the girls will sue him, he will have big problems to explain the members of a jury what he was doing at kink.com & Co in general and what happened to several girls he had performed with that way in details. I'm sure they won't show any understanding for his "job"... and if a hungry prosecutor keeps an eye on him, Deen will be toast very soon.
In his place, I would hire a VIP attourney & creep to Kanossa to shout a Mea Culpa! ... to apologise to the girls is minimum, of course.
I don't understand why he didn't defend himself in the media, yet. The few posts I've read are cockamamies...

I'm not even sure how I feel about this. Did he do it? How do we know? This spread like wildfire throughout social media and everyone has already been judge and jury. Every once in a while we hear about people whose lives were ruined when they were accused of crimes and find out later that they didn't do it. This gets me so upset I don't even know how I feel anymore. When I was about 15, two guys tried to rape me. I kicked and screamed, I got one of them in the nuts and he went down. I was so scared! They actually had my pants down around my knees! It was walking home at 2 am with 2 guys that went to my high school, and they pulled me behind a building. (Yes I was a retarded drugged out alcoholic back then and put myself in a lot of stupid situations), but my point is that I fought back. They did not get their way, and they never could look at me again on the schoolbus. One of them lived directly across the street from me. It was never reported either (except to my father who just shrugged his shoulders and said oh well, that's what you get for being out on the street at 2 am, what do you want me to do about it?)

I know that's not the same situation at all, and I do understand about that girl being so shy and quiet and star struck that she just let it happen. He knew that, and took advantage of it. I can understand that happening.

More and more girls are coming out now, telling stories of what happened to them, and experiences they had, so whether he did it or not, we'll never know because we weren't there, and couples all have issues, so whether or not he is a rapist, or just excessively unnecessarily rough, and full of himself, porn is better off with out people like him. Being an asshole is not the same thing as being a rapist, so he probably won't go to jail, she never even reported it, I think it happened 2 years ago? but maybe justice has it's own way or working things out.. We don't need the courts anymore, all we need is twitter... lol...

What you seem to be saying, Vicky is "Where's the proof?" And, that's true. In almost every segment of society, once you've been accused of something, everyone is automatically against you. It was my thought years ago is that the first person to make an accusation becomes the good guy, and the accusee becomes, right or wrong, the bad guy. People automatically assume the accuser is telling the truth and the accusee has to fight to clear his name.

But there's also the old "Where there's smoke, there's fire." While false accusations do occur, they are a much smaller percentage that truthful accusations. And when quite a number of people step forward with stories, there's something there.

You are a strong woman, Vicky. And that's one reason I admire you. But there are many women who really aren't that strong. And women in general are made to feel that "they deserve it." I do feel that we are s-l-o-w-l-y getting beyond that thinking, but much too slowly. When a woman accuses a man of rape, a defense attorney starts attacking her history, how many men she's slept with, the clothes she was wearing, had she been drinking. And, with all due respect, dear, your fathers attitude and reaction is, to me, pretty unbelievable. But society has treated women like that for so long, that wayyyy too many women have that feeling, that they must have deserved it. And for a group of people to stand around and not do anything to help is really unbelievable. But it says volumes about where we are as a society, and it's a rather loud condemnation of the porn industry in general. And, of course, proof is the most difficult. If a woman doesn't step up and report it right away, if she doesn't get herself to a hospital where they can gather the proof, then there's almost no hope of prosecution.

But, in this case, the accusation was apparently strong enough for people in the industry to quickly disassociate themselves from the whole thing.

I'm thinking that there have been incident after incident... that a lot of people in porn knew about.... ie directors and producers knew about, otherwise why would everyone be so quick to can him?
