Woo hoo! I haven't skied for years! i'm so excited, I barely know what to pack, lol.. I've been in Florida for 5 years now.... the few winter clothes I had left were destroyed by mold one summer in the garage... I don't even own a pair of boots! Yay shopping in Denver!

Here's the weather report: Heavy snow for the north central mountains tonight into Wednesday.

Snow will increase in the mountains tonight and continue through Wednesday with heavy snow at times. West winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 45 mph will produce areas of blowing snow and very poor visibilities over the higher mountain passes. Snow will also develop over the northeast Colorado plains Wednesday morning before ending in the afternoon. Accumulations of 2 to 4 inches will be possible near the Wyoming border with 1 to 2 inches further south around the Denver area. In the northern foothills, 3 to 6 inches will be possible with 2 to 4 inches in the southern foothills.

Winter Storm Warning in effect from 6 pm this evening to 6 pm MST Wednesday.

The National Weather Service in Denver has issued a Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow and blowing snow, which is in effect from 6 pm this evening to 6 pm MST Wednesday.

Timing: snow will increase this evening and will become heavy at times late tonight through Wednesday.
Snow accumulations: 8 to 16 inches with locally higher amounts possible on west facing slopes.
Wind/visibility, west 20 to 35 mph with gusts to 45 mph. Visibilities will be reduced to one quarter mile or less at times over the higher passes.
Impacts: mountain roads and passes will become Snowpacked and icy. Strong gusty winds over exposed ridges and above Timberline will make travel very difficult over the higher passes.

We fly out to Denver 6 am thursday morning! I'm not sure if Julia knows how to ski or not, I may have to take her out on the bunny hill first.....

I want to see those pics of you parked on I-70 between the airport and Denver, lol. You know, the ones with the Rockies 20 miles in the background?

Good luck. Hope it's a fun trip.

Have lots of fun Vicky, even though you've been off skis for a while it comes back to you fast. Sounds like the perfect skiing conditions to be going too. Bunny slopes and black diamond I always get those mixed up. Just don't take her on the double black diamonds till at least her 4th run, otherwise that would be cruel. Enjoy yourselves and wear a helmet, damn who always told me to wear one? Love you

Have fun on those slopes babe. I haven't skied for years. There is something dangerous about a 300 lb guy strapping on skis and point himself downhill at a 45 degree angle.

Take lots of pics

The weather is great and the snow is fluffy. This is a great time to come skiing here in Colorado. It doesn't matter how good you are, just come and play in the snow and have fun. There are slopes for all levels and you can always go tubing or ice skating too.

Hey, nobody said that they couldn't hit the slopes and just give us the aftershow.

Considering how warm it's been out West, and how the East Coast has been buried in snow, I'm kinda surprised there's enough snow even out there in Colorado to ski on.

I wonder if Denver native Naughty Allie dropped in to make it a threesome....errrrrr, to visit.

No we actually did ski, lol... well at least I did! We waited until the last 2 days though, because honestly, the cabin we rented was at over 10,000 feet and it took us a day or two to feel normal! We were huffing and puffing just walking up the stairs, every once in a while we would get heart palpitations and feel like we couldn't breathe, and then start gasping heavy for a minute... Tampa and LA are both pretty much at sea level so it was a huge change!

Friday we went sightseeing, Sat we shot all day long, Sun I skied with Julia's friend in Breckenridge, while her and Rokkerr goofed around taking public nudity pics, Sunday night they went back to LA and Monday I skied again at Winterpark. It was an amazing place... God's Country as they say! On that mountain, the beginner runs were more like intermediate, and intermediate was more like expert. They even had moguls on the intermediate! The trails were so long it took two chairlifts to get to the top and 20 min to ski all the way back down. I tried to take some pics, but somehow it never captures how spectacular it was and how steep it was! The place was huge, at one point i thought I was lost, lol.. You'll see, we have a lot of BTS pics!

One thing that is really cool, is the town we stayed in is what Southpark was based on, so there are a lot of fun Southpark Touristy things to do there.

We came, we saw, we flashed.....

There is actually a town called South Park but it is just a town along U.S. 285. Breckenridge is one of my favorite places to ski besides Vail. The town is cute with plenty of good restaurants and beer. I hope that you were able to enjoy some of it. I'm sure that Rokkerr got some great pics because there are plenty of places to take them there of Julia, but it can be difficult on the weekend when it is so busy. I always like getting them on the slopes, but it is difficult undressing and dressing without gaining too much attention. I'm glad that you had fun there.
