I'm no fan of McDonald's for their not so tasty food and the fact that they don't pay their workers decent enough wages, but I'm calling just a little bit of BS on that article. It sounds like something out of an Alex Jones conspiracy.
Sure, preservatives and other chemicals are part of most fast food ingredients, but that's the case with most foods you eat to begin with.
McDonald's may be the biggest offender, but they're not the only ones. If we're going to have transparency in stating what goes in what we eat, it has to be across the board, so all of us can decide for ourselves.

Absolutely true, Anthony. They use that stuff in everything.
I remember reading an article a few days ago about fast food workers revealing secrets. The workers were from several different chains, and all employed "sleazy" tactics in preparing and serving our food.
As long as it doesn't kill you right there in the restaurant, all is good.

I can resist everything except temptation.
I'm sure they all add lots of crap to the food, and I'll be honest, I do like their fries, although it's been at least 10 years since I've ate there. After I read the book Supersize Me that was it, I might be wrong but I'm sure you can't supersize a meal here anymore

there are so many better restaurants out there.
i always go to the restau across the street from mcD in the town next to mine. They have much better everything and you can even make your own burgers the way you like it. it's a beautiful thing.

McDonalds use to use prime beef and only Golden Idaho Russet Burbank potatoes and other quality ingredients. It has how the food was prepared that decreased the quality then came the days of McNuggets and transfats. I know that to replace the taste of the beef fat that was used to cook the french fries that the chemists concocted all sorts of preservatives and flavorings to replicate the taste. In my opinion they never did get it right. Also, they started to mix in other less expensive potato varieties. I'm sure that they slid down a grade or two on beef as well. Local suppliers provided the buns, dairy products, eggs and produce used. I'm sure that has changed too. I'm sure that all of the other major fast food providers are just as bad, but we have a new crop of them that use natural ingredients and cook the food fresh.
Out of desperation, I've eaten McDonalds at airports on rare occasions. If I do eat fast food then I go for 5 Guys, Smashburger, or Larkburger because you know what you are getting with them.

Corporate food is, as others have said, corporate food--and in many cases it is all in the labeling too. FWIW, I have found European McDonalds (which use grass fed beef) to be amazingly better on the stomach....
