Fucking Daylight Savings Time again!

Well, it's that time again, folks. We've all ready switched in the U.S. Heaven forbid, the whole friggin' world should switch at the same time. That would make waaayyy too much sense.

So, anyway, if you've switched, or when you switch, don't forget to go to the User Control Panel and, under Board Preferences, change your setting to DST. That way, the times shown in your posts will remain correct.

The board doesn't do it automatically, so take a moment and make the change if you wish.

i noticed the board shows times in CDT now instead of Est

Mine shows in MDT. (I assume you mean EDT.) As I said, check your settings in the User Control Panel. That is what controls how times are displayed in your particular time zone. And, be sure to check "Yes" to the "Summer Time/DST is in effect:" question.

i should've been more clear, i'm just talking about the upcoming camshow times that is displayed under the girl's banner at the top right of the board. it shows in CDT even though i'm in [utc-5] Eastern Standard Time.

the date and time of the messages on the board is fine. Just that part is in CDT.

If you have never specifically chosen a timezone anywhere on the sites, it will default to the timezone of your IP addres.

Once you have chosen a timezone here: http://www.vettenationlive.com/ it should remember your choice and display it on all the pages that have schedule information.

Why don't we just leave it on DST permanently? I don't see the point of this shit! I like having the extra hour of daylight all the time! Someone should start a movement!

Daylight savings time starts tonight for the usa, but it doesn't start until Mar 29 for England and Europe, this is going to cause some confusion, so please make sure you know when your show is! The schedule is set on New York Time. Go to www.vnalive.com and click on "monthly calendar" and use the pulldown to set it in your own time zone to see when you are on. You will also always get the 24 hour advance notice emails for your show in your own time zone so that should help you out. If you are not getting these check your spam! If it's not in your spam let me know! If you need to reschedule for the 3 weeks till we are synced up again, please text me.

What is worse is that most of the clocks in my house set automatically to GMT which means I have to trick them into thinking its a different time zone for three weeks until Europe switches to DST...in three weeks I have to turn them all back an hour again to get back on track....its a real pain in the ass!!

You can put the blame on the man in the white house now. He said this would save energy 'somehow', and "be good for everyone". Personally and at least in my state, it makes no damn difference. Pick a time and stick with it, less confusion, less lost time, less hassle. At least now in my state we only have ONE time zone, when I moved here <50 years ago, we had 4 time zones within a single state. One is a hell of a lot easier, but summer / winter changing makes no sense to me, certainly doesn't save us any summer time, certainly doesn't make the sun come up earlier, or go down later. Just adds confusion.

Daylight Savings Time in the US was extended from its original period (1st Sunday in April to last Sunday in October) by a law passed in Congress in 2005 and signed by then Prez George W. Bush. The motive back then was to save energy costs, due to the then high costs of fuel (remember the nearly $4/gallon gas at that time??).

Congress does retain the right at any moment to change it back, of course.

So for the next 3 weeks all the uk and european vna live girls are going to have to do their camshows one hour later than usual, if they want to stay on their own time zones and do their show at their usual time they have to hope that there is no one on before them. For example Emma Lovett does her show at 5 pm her time, if she continues to do at 5 pm her time it would now be 10 am our time instead of 11 am. So for the next 3 weeks she will have to do her shows at 6 pm her time. What if she can't do it at that time?

How much you wanna bet there will be screwups and models not showing up? Or showing up an hour late? It's just retarded, makes no sense, it doesn't save anyone any energy, zillions of tests have proven it. If anything studies have proven that every time we go back to EST crime goes up and car accidents go up. It's an outdated antiquated experiment that didn't work. Forget about it and move on. Stick to DST 100% of the time.

Your just a rabble rouser walt...how about a 'new' time' half way between daylight, and 'standard', we'll call it WALTS Zone. Then one can be either early to an event, or 'fashionably late'.

Leave it on DST so it would give us all an hour of extra daylight all the time. It's the most logical thing to do. Why are only the people in Arizona smart enough to know this? Drive me freaking nuts, when the VNA Live girls tell me to change their shows I'm never quite sure, sometimes it's 3 hours difference sometimes it's 2 hours....
