Do you think he'll deal with the situation better in January if Liverpool do come calling but are rebuffed yet again? Maybe the board will strike a 'gentlemen's agreement' with him to agree a sale in the summer.

Also, what are your thoughts on the new boss? I know how relieved you were to get rid of Puel!

I've made my feelings on international fortnights very clear in the past so I won't go over them again ;) But I'm not too fussed about so many players pulling out of these games. This fortnight is really about the nations in the play-offs and so if England end up using the two friendlies to introduce a bunch of younger players and see how they cope then that's fine by me.

Rokkerr - don't forget you've got a wildcard to use before the end of December if you are mulling over wholesale changes. International breaks are often a good time to use them as you can potentially take advantage of price rises plus have the safety net of knowing any players who get injured on national team duty can be replaced.
Ok young man (remember who used that a lot in interviews - the best manager England NEVER had)
Virgil - I think he may be warned off Liverhampton, and the board here may refuse to sell him to them on principle - if he shows his ability and application, a better club will come for him (being realistic what have Liverpool won in years) - I reckon Barca, Madrid or Bayern would be better options for him.
Pelligrino - I so wanted him to succeed, but there are serious issues! He seems to think Saints are improving each game, whereas there is no real evidence to suggest that; his team selection is weird (why is Tadic such a regular selection when he has been cr&p all season? - and how can he expect team with Tadic,Boufal & Redmond all starting to hold its own in midfield?): his substitutions are also bizarre! In the PL you can't afford to keep dropping points - losing to Burnley after having all the game, letting an average Brighton side equalise, giving away a goal after equalising at Stoke - etc etc. Problem is, who do we get to replace him - the only guy out there I would be interested in is Tuchel - and he has said Saints are not a big enough club for him. Pellegrino has another two matches - at Liverpool and at home to Everton - and if results still don't come, I think he should go!
I think, on the subject of the friendlies this weekend, England should do what Wales will probably do - look to the youngsters and get them blooded!

That Boufal goal has to be a goal of the season contender even at this stage. I'd say it's been the best goal we've seen in the Premier League so far, that's for sure.

Dare I say it Peter... Pelligrino out, Koeman back in ;)

I only caught the second half of England v Germany but thought it was a decent game considering the lack of goals. Loftus-Cheek impressed me no end. As a Tottenham fan, he instantly reminded me of Mousa Dembele. It's a shame Chelsea would never sell to us because with Pochettino's track record, I'd have great confidence in him turning RL-C into something quite special.

It was a shame to see Northern Ireland go out as they did to the woeful refereeing in the first leg of their tie against Switzerland.

When it comes to Wales how about the latest rumours on Bale with speculation that Madrid are eager to shift him on in the summer? Naturally the two links are Manchester United and Tottenham for obvious reasons, but you would have to wonder if either would be that interested. With Bale's injury record and advancing age, it would be a brave transfer decision to spend the rumoured £80m Madrid are quoting. But then you have to wonder where else he could go. I could see him ending up in Italy.

Northern Ireland were robbed - that Rumanian guy bordered on the biased - "penalty" really poor decision and the foul in second minute where he only gave a yellow card! He should never referee a competitive International game again!
Italy were so poor against Sweden - who really deserved to go through - first World Cup finals without Italy since 1958!
Bale is still a really great player - I would still have him in my team in preference to Ronaldo. He has fantastic talent and actually plays for the team! Nether Man Utd or Spurs have anyone of his calibre in their squad, so would benefit greatly if he decides to come back to PL.
I would be tempted to take big Ron back - Pellegrino isn't good enough and there aren't many other candidates around.

Went to watch Wales play Panama last night (yes I do mean Panama, but I won't mention the fact that they qualified for the World Cup Finals at expense of USA).
Pretty uneventful game with Coleman playing all his youngsters - no Bale,Ramsey, Allen (best player for us at the moment) or Ledley!
Some exciting prospects but standout is Ethan Ampadu who is 17!! Ran midfield and can pick a pass out of nowhere. Hope Chelsea use him or get him a good loan deal.
Woodburn also pretty good - Liverpool and has already made his name with winning goal against Austria and excellent performance against Moldovia.
Future looking reasonable for Wales!

Hahahaha...I have good weeks and then I suck.

So far I'm actually enjoying the experience. I've even started following a few players. Before this year I had no idea who the hell Vardy even was. I thought it was the name of Russian vodka.

:)

Odd weekend - one step closer to the door for Pellegrino I think. Antidepressants for Mr Moyes! Still no reason to believe Man City are not Champions elect.
Hope Sunderland go down and take that rat Coleman with them - The crowd for the last Wales game were virtually begging him to stay as Wales manager and he left. Personally, I can think of no higher honour than to represent/manage your country at anything - so wouldn't leave for a second rate has been club than is full of its own importance (and are rubbish)
I feel better for saying that.

By the way rokker/The Boy, what happened to Spurs on Saturday - well beaten methinks!

Interesting weekend in PL - Man Utd didn't play bet let Arsenal c0ck it up!
Saints would take the point at Bournemouth - despite being the better team - but There's only one South Coast Derby!

On the Fantasy League front - as all my team are injured I've had to draft in some defenders - watch out now!
