Oh. My. Word!!! I thought after last night and the quite frankly incredible turn around from Liverpool, we wouldn't see anything like that again... Spurs 3-0 down with 45 minutes to go and Ajax totally deserved to go through.
I still can't believe my eyes what I just witnessed in those 45 minutes. When Lucas pulled back the second goal, I'll admit I started to believe, mainly because football has apparently gone insane this season. Then Ziyech hit the post with ten minutes to go, I wondered again... Then Vertonghen hit the bar and I thought that was it. Then the ref added 5 minutes of injury time and I started to wonder again and finally the ball falls to Lucas in the 96th minute and oh my word!
As daft as it sounds, I'm truly gutted for Ajax - they deserved much more than this for how they've played and in all honesty, took us apart at various points over the two legs. But it's happened and Tottenham Hotspur are in the Champions League final. I never thought I'd get a moment like this supporting Spurs! COYS!!!

Liverpool have to be heavy favourites for sure. Our form over the past couple of months has been atrocious, whereas Liverpool are on the brink of being the highest point scoring runners up in league history and haven't lost since... I can't even remember now.
But it's a one off game and in our most recent league game at Anfield, we really should have won (that Sissoko miss will remain long in the memory!).
I think the interesting aspect of the whole situation is that Liverpool enjoy the underdog tag but will be going into the final with everyone expecting them to win, so could be a little extra pressure on them. Spurs will have to play out of their skins though no matter what and not give away those stupid, simple goals that we've been incredibly guilty of.
I still can't believe we're in the final haha

Haha, if Spurs win the Champions League, I'll take that forfeit I remember Vicky did a shoot in a Spurs shirt a few years back that I sent her with Dier on the back! Does she still have it?
It's pretty incredible for City to win the league by accumulating just shy of 200 points in the last two seasons. Liverpool were super unlucky to have had their incredible season at the same time. I think for maybe the last 2 months or so, both teams had been spurring each on which led to the relentless run of wins for both teams.
The worry is, City can definitely go again next season and rack up 100 points - but I don't think that Liverpool can. Nor indeed any other team for that matter.
First Premier League managerial casualty of the post season with Brighton sacking Chris Hughton. To me that seems harsh, considering his brief would be survival and he achieved that. But 3 wins in the last 23 games does not make good reading and having been at the club for four and a half years, maybe both parties felt a change was in order.

Cool to hear Vicky still has the Spurs shirt
Big game for Leeds tomorrow night Rokkerr in the play-off second leg. Even though I'm from Derby(shire), I'd really like to see Leeds back in the Premier League so hope they make it through. It's a shame they let automatic promotion slip really, as the play-offs can be very unfair with which team actually ends up taking the third promotion spot.
@Andrew35 Football/Soccer really seems to be a much more popular sport in America now - is that the case or is that we are simply seeing more of the MLS over here now that a lot of former European star players are playing over there?

I think it's starting to pick up in popularity in the US, getting more teams in the US all the team with all the leagues. Some Memphis players got called up recently to some International teams.TheBoy wrote: ↑May 14th, 2019, 9:11 am Cool to hear Vicky still has the Spurs shirt

Looks that way! Barca appear to be really spending big this summer. They already have Frankie De Jong tied up and are heavily linked with Ajax team mate De Ligt. Coutinho looks like he'll be unceremoniously shoved out of the door, so I guess that's where Griezmann will be coming in.
It's going to an absolutely insane transfer window!
Unlucky for Leeds tonight, but another crazy game to add to the recent list. Frank Lampard v John Terry in the Play-Off final...

Yep super unlucky - it's like I said in my earlier post, the play-offs don't always play nice to the team that finishes 3rd :( It'll be a question now if Bielsa stays another season or if he's had enough of the English media and league in general, which you couldn't really blame him.
