That thought struck me too.lance_s wrote: ↑May 14th, 2021, 7:40 amI wonder if anyone has ever done an analysis of points/salary - i.e., how many millions of pounds per point. I think some of the lesser teams might move up the ranks in this scenario.PeterL22 wrote: ↑May 14th, 2021, 5:08 amMan City will win the Champions League - but to add a little interest Chelski have beaten them twice recently!
I think its time for the PeterL22 Premier League Awards for 2020-21
Manager of the year,
Per Guardiola (or however you spell it) - for winning most things with a squad that cost billions and any idiot (even me) could get to win stuff
Bielsa (Leeds) for getting his players to bully the opposition off the park, but providing entertaining matches.
(He must be Jack Duckworth from Coronation Street's twin brother)
Sean Dyche - for keeping Burnley safe (again) with a budget that would't cover the cost of Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea or Liverpool's back four costs.
Obvious winner is Dyche! - Honourable mention for David Moyes for actually getting West Ham to play some football (and not kick the opposition off the pitch)!
More tomorrow
I also wondered about points per million spent on transfer fees!
