Dare I say it? Mobile Version of Cam room almost ready?

I'm afraid to say it out loud! I dont want to jinx it, lol... the developers are threatening to finally have the mobile version ready to install by end of next week. Will be there bugs? Will there be customizations not done correctly? Probably, but we will work it out! I'm hoping this will mean more people in the cam rooms as phones and tablets will not be excluded. The desktop version will look a little different and still be flash based. The mobile version will be different and have less features, but still work to see your favorite model. I'm so excited! This has been a long time coming!

You will be able to watch the VNA camshows on mobile by the end of next week! Fingers crossed! Then I can reach out to more models to fill up the time slots!

If anyone has trouble getting into the camroom today, ie the members side cam or the model/moderator side... just clear your cache and you should be good. We have started making the necessary code changes to enable to mobile...

If you don't know how to clear your cache it's super easy, just google it.

I can probably fix that... will be cool logging in with my galaxy note cause it has the pen for drawing....

OK so I have an idea, i can put some code in the headers of the login files that will force the files to load from the server, and not load from cache. This way members and models won't have to clear cookies when we make changes. It will be slower but at least everyone will get changes immediately as they are rolled out, and I won't be explaining to hundreds of people that they have to clear cache before logging in next time.

the pen feature is working on the model/mod side now...

I put code in the headers to force the pages to load from the server not from the cache, so I don' t have to tell hundreds of people to clear cache... I tell tell it's a few seconds slower, but we can remove it later when all is stable...

Nilous had serious problems today, BUT! they were not related to the board. Her computer crashed at signin, then microsuck did an automatic upgrade as she was trying to get started again, then the upgrades took her IE out of the computer for some reason, she tried Crome, but her camera wouldn't start. Finally after about 40 minutes she got everything going with Firefox, since there was no one in the hour between her show and Shanda's i told her to go ahead and do her show, I'd warn her when she was getting close to the next show, she did her show, and ended about 15 minutes before Shanda's, so a no-show was prevented, and her 'fans' got to visit with her.
I kicked one ass out of the show before her's when he kept complaining that even though Astro was signed in on time and had typed she needed just a minute more wanted his money back because the 'bitch' wasn't on time and spread for his enjoyment. Bearclaw announced to the room that he was going to vote to kick and i came in after warning the guy once in the room, and told Bearclaw I'd take care of it, sure enough he started in again, and i kicked him. I've got his name and IP didn't ban only kicked, unfortunatly I was triple tasking at the time and didn't get a copy of the show, by the time I was clear to do that I'd had to reboot, and so the show script info was lost.
BUT the room ran just fine, no glitch's, and I've not been asked about my mike as a user since you said it was fixed.

The show transcript is the last priority, I don't really enjoy reading pages and pages of text, lol... I trust you guys, if you think you need to mute, ban or kick, I trust your judgement, that's why you are moderators....

I'm trying to get the model's screen to open up a little bigger, like I had it before, for some reason it's not reading my code correctly, I also think the model's mute button doesn't work, or at least it's intermittent, the archives not working yet, and the picshare is still blowing my mind... other than that it's good, lol... so once I have those bugs worked out and feel confident this upgraded version is working, we'll install the mobile portion of it. I'll let you know when. The way it will work is, if you log in with a computer, it will be the same for you, but if you log in with a phone or ipad or tablet, it will detect it and redirect you to a different version. It will not have all the same features, its not logical to have it all on a tiny screen like a phone, but you will definitely be able to see your favorite model and not have to miss any shows because you are out!
