It's hardly a charity? Save your money and take your mom on a trip. Maybe I'm wrong and fans really want to send her money for that, I guess it's ok but then there are accounts like the Mandy Tyler one. She was in the hospital for like 3 weeks, she still can't work, is hobbling around, after several surgeries... It's a much more honest and worthwhile cause if you ask me...

So who is that? I don't find anywhere on that page who the hell the lady is. So, I'm going to donate something so she can take her mom to Rio? Not THIS week! But, whoever it is, if she has fans who want to pay her to take her mom on a trip, so be it.

I realize that not every porn ("star") model is rich, and doesn't necessarily rake in the dough, but I don't expect my friends to buy my mother a trip, and have a hard time donating to someone else for that purpose. Would have to be pretty narrow circumstances. For example, someone returning from Afghanistan who's mother had been watching his/her kids for a year? Mom deserves a great vacation.

I remember the trouble you had with this GoFundMe site, Vicky (It was you, wasn't it?) I will no longer use the site because I would worry too much about the money not going where I donated it.

And, something called "Cumfundme?" The name of the site makes me not trust it very much.

Check out Mandy's fund though ok you guys? She could use a helping hand... yes she has insurance, she is not irresponsible, but there is a minimum to pay first and then it only covers 80% and then there is a lot of stuff not covered not to mention she hasnt been able to work for a few months because of being so sick. In my opinion this is a worthwhile cause.

Just read about this, and feel so bad about Mandy's situation. There's never a guarantee that we won't need help ever. So, whenever possible, it's always good to help, because someday we'll need that help too.
I won't criticize Alexis Amore's desire to treat her mom to a trip (of course, if that's really her), one can ask for money for all kind of causes. However, we are the ones who decide what's worth our time and/or money. Being that said, for me, personally, there isn't a contest between Mandy's and Alexis' fund (again, if that's really her). Although I think it's pretty cool that she wants to take her mom on a trip (and do it through whatever means), I cannot say I would put that into my list of priorities. I'm not rich, and we have to stretch money an awful lot to make things work. But, there's always something we can give up in order to make finances work at the end. I myself just signed up for a crowd funding website (Patreon), and no, I'm not inserting a commercial here. All the opposite: my funding is to help support my artwork, but I have to say that it pales in comparison to something real, like Mandy's. Silly cartoons vs. medical attention? I think that's a no brainer.
I hope Mandy gets better and that things start working out right away. Thanks for posting this, I'm glad I read it.

Let's remember, y'allz, that the main reason that CumFundMe exists in the first place is that porn performers were shut out of traditional fundraising sites like GoFundMe (remember the sitch with Eden Alexander when WePay refused her fundraiser for her medical treatment?). That some performers might not use them for the most altruistic reasons (like, you can't use Amazon wishlists??) doesn't necessarily devalue their proper usage for sitches like what Mandy is going through. What Alexis is doing isn't my personal choice, but like Popeye, I'd rather simply choose to use my limited money purse to support whom I choose, and not down her for her choice of priorities. After all, you never know who might need it next.

It's great that Mandy is able to post for her needs in mainstream crowd funding sites. I will be sure to donate.
As far as Cumfundme..... I think it is a fantastic idea.
As adult performers we are shut out of mainstream crowd funding, where civilians can aquire money for nearly anything.... except us. Granted some of the request are superficial at best, but no one is forcing you to donate to causes that you dont support.
In these new days where there are few budgets given out for production and making a profit from porn is more difficult because of all the free content out there and lack of work. This is the chance that small companies, like mine, can get fans to invest in my production costs that I simply dont have. I want to make a better product and the fans deserve it. Whether that means new cameras, cool locations, or talent fees.... If the fans are willing to support I will accept.

I was just chatting to Mandy, she is so so so thankful to the people who donated. Being out of commission for about 3 months now has really hurt her. The doctor says it will be safe for her to resume normal activity in 2 weeks, so her first time back on vna cam will be jun 20 - make sure we all go to welcome her back!

That whole sex in space thing, yeah sure its funny, but there are kids with no shoes going to school on empty stomachs, homeless people living under bridges and countless dogs and cats and other animals being put to sleep every single day... kind of makes sex in space seem stupid and useless. So much money that could be used to make the world a better place. What a waste.
