Difficulty streaming, downloading or viewing live cams?

Is anyone else having issues right now? I know Angelina had a lot of trouble in her camshow yesterday.
Personally i am having huge problems downloading as a member, or watching live shows.

I freaked out at webair yesterday, I mean really freaked out, even threatened to move hosting companies. I was positive it was a server issue since I can surf anywhere in the world and my internet is blazing fast. When I go to speedtest.net and even connect to the webair servers in New York, my download is 170 mbsp and upload is 11 mbsp. That is even better than the 100 mbps service I am paying for.

So why can't I watch a movie or a camshow on my own freaking site?

Turns out it's a roadrunner backbone problem. Webair spent 2 hours with me downloading software, and teaching me how to use it (boy do I feel bad now) so I can connect to my servers and test the connections from my sites to any ip address in the world.

I can generate a report that you can send to your isp to show exactly where the problem is.

Mine looks like this:

its pretty fascinating really, so you can see the packet loss starts at xo networks, then more packet loss on roadrunner networks, then more packet loss on brighthouse networks, so i sent this to brighthouse, my isp and now they at least know where the problems are and how to address them.

so if anyone is having issues right now, email me your ip address and I can run a report for you.

I have no problem during the camshows. The video stream was constant & the sound was crystal clear at most of the shows, I moderated.
Only at Sunny's shows, her video was choppy that way the video was buffering apporoximately 2 seconds, means every 2 seconds a fresh pic.
Her sound was perfect.
I think, it's her Wifi connection that causes this effect &/or it's her PC that needs to be adjusted in its settings.

Downloading a video from Sunny's updates, e.g. the "Cellphone Tease", works fine.
The only differences to former procedures is that it takes 10 seconds before the video starts, & before, it was possible to watch & download the video at the same time.
If you click on download while watching it, the video stops and gives you a message in the video like "you aborted the video...bla bla", & showing a big red X in the middle.
Watching the video itself without downloading is OK.
Download took 5 minutes for 577MB, not bad, but before it was way better.

I've recorded the camshow TCP/IP protocols & the download of the video with Wireshark.
They are on different servers (diff. IPs), BTW.
The package size & speed was OK, so far...
If you like, I can send you a copy of it. (But it's a pain in the ass to analyze this )

I'm having little to no difficulty up in Canada. Internet service here is relatively uninterrupted and pretty reliable.

The updates Vicky has implemented seem to be ok in this neighbourhood :)

It's been fairly good 'up' here, I get random shows that I have trouble with, usually a larger than normal speed difference between audio and video. I've measured up to nearly 10 seconds delay between what I read on their lips and what comes out the headphones. But it's not any particular show or any particular day.
I'll start keeping notes on the 'worse' shows, and see if I can figure out any particular pattern.

... as you mentioned it, DrDave, I saw this audio to video delay too, in Carmen's show, yesterday.
It began at 3/4 of her show & lasted about 5 minutes until some a kind of network hickup (one buffering effect) when it was OK again.
...looked strange...

I've encountered issues in the last 2 weeks when I turn on my cam during shows -creates ridiculous lag and kills volume.

I am having some problems with Samantha Grace shows lately, maybe the last 4 or 5. The sound is OK, but the video runs slow and choppy. No one else seems to be having the issue. I guess she is on the road so maybe I just need to wait until she is home again.

If it's just one performer then it's not the system, it's on their end. If it's all the shows and all the streaming vids, then yes there is a problem. I'm working on it as we speak. there is definitely something going on, but it's only affecting a minority of people, including me.

The last 4 or 5 cam shows I've done, I've had to either shut down my computer or log out and log back in a few times because no one can hear me in the beginning. After I've done that a couple times, seems to work fine for everyone, though there's nothing different on this end.

The only problem I had lately is during cam shows there have been a couple of times I just got knock out of the system. Some where because I lost internet connection but I just have to enter into the site again. It would happen both ways.
Lately when watching some of the content videos they would start but then they would pause like its thinking then play but keep pausing every so often. Then I have had some to just stop and not finish playing and this with some of the cam shows.

I have been trying to make sure that I clear the cookies and cache before I enter the site. I will start keeping a track of these thing to let you know when they seem to happen.

You don't have to clear cookies and cache every time you enter the site, that actually only slows things down, because then cookies and cache get recreated, plus you have to keep entering your passwords again.... The only tme you need to do that is if we have made a lot of changes on the server, then you need to clear it so you are getting all the new changes to your pc.

The stopping and pausing of videos is what is concerning me. Please send me links when this happens ok?

I seem to be having good luck watching the live camshows as they stream. Oh there can be times when i have issues watching them live but that seems to be at my end. Where i am really having problems is watching a video Right On The Site. I simply click on the Play Arrow like always and the movie clip starts the Disclaimer but stops right there and has that buffering circle spinning in the center of the screen and progresses NO further in the picture or on the timeline along the bottom...it stays at Zero minutes and seconds also with the Pause icon still on, so i click again and the movie starts in a very herky-jerky fashion, completely stopping every 7 or 8 seconds to buffer some more. It's impossible to watch it right then and there so i've been downloading them and THEN watching but even the downloading process is very slow compared to a few months ago. I've had the exact probs on 4 sites...Vicky's, Julia Ann's, Carmen's and Shandafay's. I have been thinking it was MY problem the last couple of weeks but after uninstalling and reinstalling everything from my browsers to my VLC player to my Adobe Flash and Shockwave, i'm beginning to wonder. I have seen this type of thing before on sites other than the VNA's sites and just gave up on them because you could NOT be on the site and view a movie...it was a real pain. I hope this trend doesn't continue, as it has all seemed to have started with the change to Ipod/MP4 after moving away from the duel Wmv/mp3 formats.

I just tested all 19 sites by streaming videos of scenes and downloading the scene files this morning. All worked perfectly but I'm not gonna declare the problem over because I've had the same problem as Vicky. Will be checking them again later.

Charlee froze up 4 times this morning. Froze for others too. She was getting kind of frustrated, as she said it was working fine on her end. I asked her to contact Vicky for an explanation.

Played all the way thru in IE. Criminey! Almost wish it hadn't. Cant get my pants zipped now.
