I absolutely adore traveling! I'm leaving for a cruise in just 5 days, going to the Western Caribbean and hitting Cozumel, Roatan, Belize, and Costa Maya. This will be my 5th cruise, I'm kinda hooked. And now that I live in a state with multiple cruise ports, um, I might hop on some ships for those last minute deals. I've been to many of the islands in the Caribbean..let's see...Bahamas, Aruba, Jamaica, Barbados, Grand Cayman, have been to both Roatan and Cozumel before, St. Martin, St. Thomas, Puerto Rico.
My favorite place however is the big island of Hawaii and I would love to move there someday!
I've been to Europe a few times but not in many years as right now when I go on a vacation, I kind of just want to chill out and in Europe there's SO much to do and see. When I went in the past, I come home more exhausted then when I left. I am getting the itch to return though.
One trip I'd love to do is French Polynesia like Bora Bora or Moorea where you can stay in those over water bungalows and jump into the crystal clear waters right off of your room. It wouldn't be a cheap vacation though but it's on my bucket list.
I also am dying to see the swimming pigs at Exuma in the Bahamas, if you don't know what I am talking about...google it! I am a pig fanatic and this would be a dream come true : )
So tell me about where you like to travel, your favorite vacation, your travel dreams : )

Well, for $20, I'll let you come here and watch me thrash around in my bathtub.Maggie Green wrote:

I spent 3 years in Spain in the 70's and have always wanted to go back. Met some fantastic people, had some great times, great food and adventures.
A friend bought a BMW bike and was going to tour the Alps. That would have been fantastic, but I wasn't (am not) a good money manager, so couldn't make it. But that would be such a great trip, thru Switzerland, Bavaria, all of those central European countries.
Here in the colonies (now that school is a distant memory,) I have picked up a great interest in historic sites. Especially out here in the West. I pretty seriously considered moving to Tombstone once. I love it there, and would most likely become a member of their show troupe, so I could walk around downtown all day in costume.
I can resist everything except temptation.

Yes, Barcelona. I got to take a date to the bull ring in Barcelona to see Julio Iglesias sing under a nearly full moon. Talk about a fantastic evening. Save thy nickles and get thyself back there. I'm betting Italy would be uber cool too.
You need someone to carry your suitcase, you call TheOldRedcap!!

I have been to several places in the USA from the state of Washington to Florida to NY in my travels. I have only been to the Bahamas once and to Jamaica once.
I lived in the state of Washington for 3 years and lived in Florida for 10 years. Grew up going to NY and NJ visiting family. Got to see Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, Arizona, New Mexico and California from a big rig once. Spent a week in Reno, Nevada.
Would love to go to California again and see it as people that live that live see it every day. I would also like to visit Arizona again. I always wanted to visit Greece.

I used to visit Arizona when my grandparents lived there. Sedona is incredible! One of the most beautiful places, so mystical in a way. The Grand Canyon is also something everyone should see.

I'm nowhere near as well travelled as I should be but last year I finally got my passport renewed and got a couple of trips in.
Went to Prague in the summer for a music festival but had a couple of days in the city centre too. Amazing place and I would recommend it to anyone. Everything is so cheap too, its ridiculous!
Then had a weekend in Amsterdam at the end of the last year which was also awesome. Somewhere I'd always wanted to go and somewhere I will definitely be going back but for a longer period of time because I didn't get to see and do all the things I'd have liked to. Hopefully this year!

Forgot about this thread! Bumping it up!
One place I really loved visiting on a cruise was St. Martin. And I am SO sad to see the devastation that Irma has brought to the island. Their famous airport is in shambles : (
