I give up! After last fiasco of trying to do a camshow, I finally gave in and ordered a new laptop.. it's such a pain to move everything over, all the software I use, all the licenses, etc.... takes forever... but none of my usb ports work anymore at all, I can't even use an external mouse anymore! The internal cam works intermittently and a lot of the key caps have fallen off... and all the keys have no writing on them because it has been completely worn off.... The screen itself is overheating and separating.... lol... I guess it was time! I got my money's worth out of this one! Thing is laptops are so cheap right now... I ordered an older style Acer, 17 inch only 4 megs of ram but I'll prob upgrade that.. but it was only $389.... from www.newegg.com

lol...way to go Vicky but ya shoulda bought a Mac for a Billion Gazillion Dollars :) lol

Swapping content is such a pain in the azz...I would have held off as long as possible too. Depending on all of your transfers you could be down for like a day just moving stuff around.

Maybe that's what's going on with my downloads only failing on VNA and not anywhere else.

I, usually, try to make my computer last 'til back to school. I got this one for $100 on a Back to School sale.
It runs Sony Vegas and Photoshop.
Not to mention, all of my PC games.

Siri swears by TheCultOfApple but I am sticking by Asus.

It's working now but yesterday all of them, from all sites, were dropping connection.

I thought it was my PC but it worked everywhere else.

I had dropped connections yesterday too... think Webair had a bad day...

Wow Sounds like way overdue , now i know why you were down after last show,you know when it worked it was'nt all that bad ,even took a spill
when you bumped it and still worked. i guess frustrations just got to you and just reached that point where enough is enough ,always sucks having to spend bucks on un-expected things as for changing over software -got to do what you have too,lets just hope it will be long time you ever have to do that again. just wish you luck that the change over and computer works smooth for you, let's hope the stress and frustration of this problems ends for you soon ,even though we help you relieve stress ,rather just see you happy and enjoying it all with out frustrations
this change over gonna be good for me too ,seeing your happy ass in a clear broadcast will be nice ,i think you'll be getting after show thank you messages from me more often-haha Thank You For Everything and i mean Everything !!

It's always a pain to instal a new laptop. But at the end, it's so easier when everything works fine. I have a HP for live shows. But I work on my mac pro. Everything is synced with my phones, etc .. And I'm so used to Mac that its a little weird to use my HP laptop.

Well by the time if you don't have an extended warranty, you are better off buying a new one, I was told on one of mine that to repair the usb ports Dell would have to replace the motherboard and that would $498, about the same price I paid for it, I was like nope I'll just get another one.

Yay I got home last night and my new laptop was sitting at the front door! I haven't even opened the box yet, I won't have a minute to spare till tomorrow, but hopefully I'll have great camshows from now on! I also got a cooling base for my old laptop... that will have to do until I can move everything over...

Yes, with any kind of processing or GPU power, a cooling base is a must.

Good To Hear Hope Not Going Crazy Trying To Put All Your Programs in And Its Working For You Smoothly . Hey Your Cam Shows Are Always Great Even With Other Junker Computer ,Quality Of Picture Should be Better Hopefully Now You Can Relax n' Get Wetter !!
