I don't watch many shows, actually just Vicky's show yesterday and the frame rate was very low. Like a flipbook😉 (on my phone, tried DSL and LTE).
Having too much sex can cause memory loss. I read that on page 69 in a medical journal on the 4th of May in 2008.

Lol, sorry about that, Vicky's show yesterday had problems. Try again next week. Or you can even log into any show just to check. You don't have to stay. Maybe check in to a few just to see how the connection is for you.

I'm normally in my office connected directly to the modem, with a desktop usually My Stream is fine? I'm sure it's because I was at the other end of the house on a laptop connecting wirelessly. I'm going to see if I can get one of those extender things that you plug into the wall to boost the Wi-Fi and then you can plug the laptop directly into it and it's supposed to be the same thing as connecting to the modem.

Yes, I have refreshed the pages. It doesn't fix it.
Haven't cleared my cache. I guess I'll have to do that. (I HATE that, lol.)

Ok we need everyone's help on this? Can you guys all tell us if you see the model's icons? For Amazon, Twitter, Instagram, OF, and Snapchat, whichever ones they have and are using? Let me know if you are logging in as a member, or a moderator, and if you see them, and if they stay on the screen, or change to the countdown like they do for Walt? There has to be some logic to why they do this for him?

They used to stay up there, so something somewhere has changed. Since others still see them,it must be something here. But I can't even begin to finger it out.

This morning I cleared my cache but it didn't seem to help. I'll go to Rita's show this morning and see what happens.

OK, so far, so good.

I cleared my cache this morning and, in the first show I watched, the New icons (the colored ones) are there and are staying up.

"Clear your cache" is Vicky's favorite mantra. And, after years of saying "I HATE that," I may have to admit that it's a good thing.

Clearing my cache usually meant losing my passwords and having to re-login everywhere. If you've ever had to deal with forgotten passwords, you know what I mean.

But I think the clearing process has been refined. I know that now there are 3 or 4 options (clear browsing history," etc.) that you can select. I only select "Clear Cache" and ignore the others. And, Yes, Vicky, it has helped me in the past and cleared up some problems (old fart hangs his head in shame, :lmao:) I also have a password program that saves them all (LastPass) and I am quite happy with it.

I'll update in a couple days. But, at this point, it may be solved. And, yes, I will now campaign that everyone, when having mysterious problems, should include "clear your cache" in their first effort to clear things up.

Are you happy now, Vicky? You've even made TheOldGrouch be nice and campaign for right, :rotffl:

So here's what I'm surmising about the model's icons. The program is written to recheck the schedule every 30 seconds, to see if there is a live show on at the moment or not. It does a "query" by running a "script". If there is a live show on, it's supposed to display that show's icons. If there is no show on, it's supposed to show the countdown to the next show.

The only reason it would display the countdown while a show is on, is if it can't run the script for some reason? A lot of browsers have options for turning off scripts that are running in the background. For example if you set the security settings in a browser way high, it may not allow cookies or scripts. We need these things to be turned on to create a better experience for the users. For example, the cookies is what remembers what font size you like and where you want the windows positioned in the cam room, so when you come back in a few days or weeks, everything will be how you left it. If you clear the cookies, you have to reset everything. The captcha characters require cookies to be enabled also... If you disable cookies on your browser, you won't be able to login to the websites.

Anyway, probably more than you wanted to know, but maybe somehow you disabled scripts in your browser and that's why it wasn't working for you?

No, you're right, I think that we need this. Not everyone understands all that.

I know that my security level is set to medium, I believe, wherever they recommend it. I don't have any trouble like that. But the other? Would my cache gumming up cause a script to go bonkers? I will look around, but I don't believe I have intentionally set anything to stop scripts.

But if that were true, would clearing my cache reset that? I don't know. Maybe. I'll look into that angle in my settings.

I have no idea! I just know that it's a good idea to clear cookies and cache and even restart your computer once in a while to keep everything fresh....

I haven't found anything in settings that seems to be related. I turn off my computer every night. But it's still probably a good idea to clear your cache and stuff weekly or so.

It could be your malware bytes or something not letting scripts run in the background?

Hi Walt,
I see on your screencaps that you use Adblock Plus. Sometimes the Adblockers mix up certain parts of websites and actual ads and block them. (That would explain the fact that it changes after 30 seconds. That would be the first query.) Try and change the settings of the Adblocker and put the VNA sites on the white list (or deactivate Adblock to check).
I don't know if this is actually the problem, but it was the first thing that came to my mind, so maybe it's worth a try😉

I don't think so, Vicky. I've had MWB for years with no problems. That certainly doesn't mean that something couldn't pop up. I will be able to check more shows today. Moderated Dawn's show last night and didn't look at the icons even ONCE! So, I'll try again today, lol.

Liz, that's an interesting thought. I will keep that in mind, too, and look into it as well. I do have things that go haywire on occasion, and it's hard to figure. I DO have one idea. Are you ready for this? No, I mean, seriously. Are you ready? Are you sure?

I sit in my big ole easy chair most all day, with my laptop on my laptop (sorry, haha.) I usually slide down a bit so that I'm sitting halfway on my tailbone (have always slouched in my chair. Mom and Dad used to yell at me, but it never worked, lol.)

Anyway. As I 'scooch' down, my laptop moves closer to me. the result being that my belly, which is no problem when I'm standing or sitting up straight, suddenly lies over my laptop right where the touch pad is. Fairly often, my laptop will just take off with a mind of it's own. The mouse icon bounces all over the place. It highlights, stuff, it erases stuff if Word is open, it closes web pages and browsers, just plain nuts.

Well! I finally fingered out that what was going on was that my belly was lying on my touch pad, and that is what was causing my computer to go nuts. I hate that touch-pad anyway. (I know Vicky likes hers, lol.) So every laptop I've had, I have fingered out how to disable it. This one is different. I know I disabled it once, but it somehow reactivated and I don't remember how I did it. So I need to research again and get the dang thing disabled. I know it's a real pain for me. I can accidentally drag my thumb over it and erase a whole page of data I've been typing.

So, I have an idea that that is the root of my problems. In looking around, there are as many ways to disable the dang thing as there are computers. It's even different between different models of the same manufacturer. It's like they concede that some people don't want the dang thing, so they program a way to disable it. But they really don't want you to, so they change the instructions on every computer, then hide them so no one can find them.

So, let me work on this angle. I am really starting to believe that this is the source of my problems.

oh Walt, if you use a mouse you can go into settings an hit turn touchpad off when mouse is in use. I do the same and slouch in my chair, got more in trouble at school than home for it lol.

Go to settings: devices, touchpad then uncheck the box that says leave touchpad on when mouse is connected, you can also turn it completely off but I just uncheck the box.

Thank you, Andrew. I've been thru all that and most things I find don't work on my machine. Other machines have been easier to set up. It seems that even different versions of Win10 are handled differently. The steps aren't a cast in concrete thing from Microsoft. My belief now is that each software developer uses a basic Win10 package, but then can adapt it however they want. That results in, instead of one easy way to do something, a conglomeration of steps and ways to do any a particular job.

I'll try your specific steps, tho and let you know. Thanks for the suggestion.
