Cory, I've followed this thread with great interest and although I don't know you, I share in sending thoughts and prayers your way. Having a breast cancer survivor of over 20 years in my family (my sister); I can somewhat relate to your situation. I'm glad to read about your Mom's progress. Update: Took mom to doctor today because she's been having really bad pains in her left shoulder that started on Monday. She got an X-Ray done and they called back with the results which were either a lesion or a hole, this time in her clavicle. Once I know more, I'll update again

Yes Walt, another hole in a bone, this time her left clavicle. She goes to see the oncologist at 5pm on Monday then sees the orthopedic surgeon at 2:30pm on Tuesday. After those two appointments, I should have a better update

Mom is going through more radiation. I really thought there was a limit to how much radiation therapy one person could go through in their life but I may be mistaken. Her oncologist wants her to start getting shots of XGeva, which is a drug that strengthens the bones that have metastasized, but she needs to have dental work done before that can happen. What the dental work is, I have no idea but the oncologist keeps insisting that that she starts the XGeva as soon as possible.

Sometimes, when one thing hits, several things seem to hit at once. Try to find out what the dental need is so you can work on the necessary scheduling (I imagine you're all ready doing that.)

Keep the faith and keep pushing forward. Prayers to your mom.

I clean an Oncology office and a few times there would be patients there, Id try to work someone else out of respect, my Grandmother had breast cancer a few years ago I would go to every radiation treatment with her (sometimes my mom would too) & its hard to hold back emotions. We have to try to stay strong for our loved ones so Im sending positive vibes to you!

Mom was admitted to the hospital today with a blood clot in her leg. All the info I have at the moment but when I get more, I will update everyone again
