I'm sorry, folks, for interrupting your fun. but, I think this is too important NOT to say something. Don't say you haven't done this. I won't believe you. I consider myself pretty much on top of the intelligent way to do things. But, I have used my phone while driving. Not a lot, and never in town, or in traffic. Only on the open road. But, even one car coming in the opposite direction is "traffic." Many entities even post "pledges" for you to sign to never text and drive. But I am sure that some (many?) people sign those, yet continue to text and drive.

Please. Listen. Then DO it! Put down the phone. NOTHING is so important that you can't at least pull over to check your phone. If it rings, how hard is it to pull over somewhere to check it out? Are you really in that big a hurry that you think it's OK to take a chance on killing someone? Or yourself? Do NOT think, "It won't happen to me," or, "I can handle it." Stop and think. What do you think all those people that caused a wreck were thinking? How many times have you been looking at your phone only to look up and find yourself drifting to the edge? Or worse, toward the center line? How many times have you crossed the center line, and swerved back because there was no traffic coming toward you?

Come on, people. I don't want to come here some day to read someones post that you won't be coming here anymore. You have to make that pledge mentally. You have to convince yourself that it's not worth it, and then put the phone down. Believe me, Its really not that hard. Try it. The life you save very well could be your own. And, yes, it IS that serious. It IS life and death.

Then take this clip and post it on your Facebook page. And your Twitter page.

Yes, I'm stupid, and I'm silly and I'm crazy. But, in this case? I'm serious. DEAD serious.
I can resist everything except temptation.
