Agree Henna - not sure if it should be here or on rant thread - but sushi, what's that all about? Just because they can't be bothered to cook it, doesn't make it a delicacy!!
Sushi...that is cat food! I tried it once in Thailand...to make a long story short...it came out the same way it came in.... :yuck:

I do not know what the big thing is about eating raw fish! I have not tried it nor do I have any wish to! Why don't you get food poisoning from eating raw fish and poultry? PeterL probably eats his pigeon half raw! lol

I love sushi! We eat it all the time! Depending on what you order though... I get the miso soup, the seaweed salad, and sashimi most of the time, no white rice... maybe some brown rice on the side if I'm really hungry...

Oh Walt, that is the very best way to eat sushi. lol You still can't beat a good old steak! Did I ever tell you about the time when me and some friends were eating mountain oysters and drinking rum and cokes? Of course this was in my younger days. I thought it really tasted good and when I got ready to go home I barfed in my car! What a mess I had to clean up the next morning and this was in the winter! That was a hard lesson. lol

"Barfed in your car?" OK, was that from too many rum and Coke's, eating too many bull balls, or maybe some weird combination of the two? LOL

They weren't bull balls they were pig balls! and yes it was the combination of the two! I will not drink rum and coke to this day but will eat the balls in moderation! LOL I wonder how this thread has wandered away from Vickys' question about her bird! lol It must not have come back I gather.

I'm a huge bird lover too. Usually stuffed with spinach and ricotta cheese, rolled in panko bread crumbs...roasted @ 350 degrees for about 35 minutes :goodpost:

The only birds I like are chicken and turkey. None of that crazy stuff even if it does sound kind of good! lol

Henna was asking me to share the wildlife photography I've been doing recently, I figured this would be a good thread to post in, even if it's not bird specific.

Oh my gosh George!!! Those are beautiful photos. They are absolutely wonderful. I agree with Vicky. Is there some place you can submit the photos, It surely is worth a try. Thank you George. If I had a printer attached to my laptop I would print them off.

Thanks all! Sunny said the same thing when I shared with her, lol. I actually did look into submitting to a NatGeo contest but they held their's earlier in the year. I'm just getting my feet wet (quite literally, haha) having a heck of a time sneaking up on these animals. Last week I found myself wading down a river, decked out in my camouflage, waist deep in water, trying to approach another bear as stealthily as I could. Sure enough, as soon as I positioned myself close enough to get a shot, a random duck flys overhead and dive bombs the bear, scaring it off. I never got the shot, but watching it all go down was rewarding in itself.

You just be careful George! I bet it is relaxing and calming to take these photos. The one with the bear standing up with a piece of grass or something hanging out of his mouth, the one with the moose is so unique cause you see the water dripping from its face as it drinks and the spider, all so real life. These were my favorites but loved them all. The animals look like they are posing just for you George!

Missed a bit - but just to let you know carnivore man is back. By the way did I tell you I'm going to curry some Bambi (venison) tomorrow??

Funny enough, that turtle was the toughest subject to photograph. This was shot on a pond near to my house where I had seen turtles sunning themselves before. I had gone out several times hoping to get a shot, spotting turtles on this log, only to have them swim away before I could get in range. This particular day, I was in my camo, set myself up in position early in the day and quite literally took an hour nap on the forest floor while I waited for the turtle to show up.
