I have wanted to ask this for a few weeks now. I don't understand all the hate, all the ignorance and violence. It just makes no sense to me. I was told there is hate in the world because of fear. I was taught the only thing to fear is fear itself. I never quite knew what that meant until recently. Now I think, If I fear something, I need to educate myself to learn more about what is it that scares me and tackle it head on.
Has there always been this much chaos going on at once AND were we just not as aware as we are now? With the internet and social media, we see everything, immediately ....live while it's unfolding.
partly thinking out loud and partly wishing somebody could enlighten me on this.
Why is there so much chaos in the world right now?
Nobody has the answer? Well, I guess nobody does have the answer. If we did, there wouldn't be a problem.

There isn't a quick simple answer to your question Emily.
You're right that fearful people create chaos. Unfortunately, there are a lot of people who lock their doors, buy guns, don't know their neighbours, shoot first and ask questions later. It's a sad state of affairs.
The way to combat hate is to band together. Diversity is Strength. It's our differences that makes us stronger.
Get to know your neighbours. Fight against what you know is wrong in a peaceful manner, and most of all, Don't be Afraid. Remember, there are more of us than there are of them.

Well, I just wrote a long, insightful (well I thought so) answer here. And then suddenly the whole fucking thing disappeared. Obviously I hit a wrong button or something. No, I'm not going to try to re-create it, at least not right now. Maybe I'll go up the street and burn somebodies business to the ground. Or maybe go torch somebody's car. That's the way we do it now, isn't it? That's the way we voice our displeasure? Go out and destroy shit? Maybe I'll try to write something after I get home, I don't know. Right now I'm gonna go find something else to do.
I can resist everything except temptation.
