The new combined forum?

I hope you guys like it? After so much discussion, I'm tired of nagging the other girls to come post here... in my opinion there is no point having specific model forums if they don't use them. So I think this is far better. Those of us who want to post, can post on everything. I can't believe how many great threads I missed because they were in shanda's forum or puma's forum and I didn't see them. I just never had time to go check everyone else's forum one at a time, with 25 forums it's slow! But now that it's one big forum, it's easier to scroll up and down and see what's going on.

The new threads started will be at the top, as will the most recently posted on threads, so it's super easy. Any threads you are following with new posts will be highlighted. I think it will promote more posting!

I know it may seem weird at first, but give it a chance! It may grow on you!

Not at all what I was envisioning, Vicky. I think I was seeing all of the posts in one long list. But one long list of Topics works just fine, maybe even better than before.

I like it myself....you don't have to fight through 24 individual girls' subforums, and you reward those who do contribute.

The next step is, I do still want to make it more mobile-friendly, and possibly make it open to the people who have access to the cam room.

I post all the time, so my posts won't be lost...not for long....
Something new to get use to, that's all.

I know you post all the time, but I couldn't keep some forums and combine others, it just didn't seem right, or logical, so I made the decision to combine all of them. But yeah if you post often, your post will always be at the top anyways.

Emily, you should still be able to edit or modify your individual posts through the "Edit" button.

You can also use the "Search" function to locate all your old threads, even if you don't have your own subforum anymore.

No, I am unable to edit threads I created on my forum now. I can edit posts I reply too but not the threads I had started. If that makes sense.

I regularly edit and update my camshow schedule monthly. Hmmm.

I'm sure that a few bugs might need to get ironed out, but this kinda makes more sense.

It's not quite as specific, but when fellas or ladies go to a specific board and the host never get back to them it can be discouraging. A few ladies are awesome at interaction with members (and we all know who they are), but we all know that many more are simply not.

The only thing that is constant is change. It usually scares the crap out of me (like Google mail), but once you get the hang of it, you wonder how you ever lived without it

I dig it, keep things simple, all in one spot. Maybe we'll get more of the gals in here commenting on other threads. Looking at some of the older threads has been fun, really gives me insight on how this group has developed as a community, glad to be part of it.

As an example I never would have seen that Charlee Chase post if it was in her forum because I never go to her forum. But now that we are just one big Forum I think we will be a much tighter, closer knit group, at least for the people who do post because now we will all see everything and know what's going on with each other. I think this was a really good idea. Why did I wait years to do it?

Along those lines, any idea how difficult it is to make the forum compatible with Tapatalk? If it is any work at all, then it is probably not worth it, as I am guessing there aren't many of us out there using it.

I think i have heard of it, but don't really know... if you wanna research it go ahead! Google "is phpBB3 Forum compatible with TapaTalk and how to implement it".

Apologies Vicky, but I preferred the old format. It may just be me, but if you want to post on more than one thread, or just want to look for a particular forum, you have to search down more entries - a lot of which may not be one's you are interested in.
Also, for someone like me, you rely on reminders by seeing the thread come up and think - "OK, I want to post on that"; where the list is so long now you give up.

I am on the fence... I hope we have a back up of the old forum...
There should at a minimum be a separate forum for just the Official Threads of the girls to make them easier for the guys to find.. my 2 cents...

Have you ever tried the search feature Peter? It's pretty cool. You can search by title of the thread, by the author, etc.... Play with it and get a feel for it.
