Today I got to spend my day with the sweetest girl I know, even though we had an outdoor workout in the rain and snow, she stayed so happy. We ran in the river valley in the mud, she dressed like it's summer, shorts and a t shirt cause insane is her way. She was positive that it was going to warm up and kept calling everyone sissy for wearing hoodies, track pants, toques and gloves. If your wondering I'm spending my day with me :signhammer:

Go for it girl!
By the way love the quote - only question, Who needs sheets?
Here was certainly a sin worth sinning and I applied myself with characteristic vigour to its practice

Oh Julie! I am afraid I am one of the sissies, I would rather be curled up by the fireplace reading a good book. But then my figure is not what it used to be either! lol

Did it ever warm up at all?

The one thing I love about being here in Cali is the lack of humidity. Running in the mornings is sheer delight! Its about 65 sunny and a light breeze. I do miss running with my dogs though...

Another happy thing: I had dinner with Gabby Quinteros! She lives about an hour from Dave's Mom so we hiked down there and went for sushi and then to cheesecake factory. Chocolate cake tastes so much better when shared with good friends and stories and laughter.

As many of you know, my oldest son is type 1 diabetic. We have had some many health scares with him the past few years. So many hospital stays, more then I want to count as it is sure hitting our pocket books BUT for the last month now he has had PERFECT blood sugars!!! No highs.....no ketones !! This has been such a struggle with him as he is a teenager trying to find his way, act cool and not wanting to be bothered with doing his Blood sugar tests or even taking the time to do his insulin in fear somebody will see him using his needle and judge him. Well, something has clicked because he is ON TRACK and doing what he should have been doing all along. I am so proud of him and this makes me smile....still keeping a close eye on him and his meter but now this mama gets to breath easy knowing he is growing up and taking personal responsibility for his health. :yeahbaby:

I can only hope it is finally getting through to him. He is off on his first camping trip without adults ... he worked hard to prove he could go alone and continue to be responsible for himself. This is great news!

Thank you Vicky

I am glad for you and your family Emily. It is always a trial when health issues happen. Keep your chin up! Blessings to you!

My happy rant for today---I thought I had lost one of my favorite earrings and my cleaning lady found it under my bed behind the leg. Don't know why I didn't see it but I am glad she did! :yeahbaby:
