Am I the only one who finds the whole ''I need my pet on a plane for therapy'' ridiculous?!
No... you shouldn't be able to bring your 50 pound boxer to sit in your lap.... in my opinion
... or should you? I mean if you are fucked up in the head and need your lil friend to fly, who are we to discriminate?!
But now people are bringing... peacocks?!?!?!!??!

I think there are definitely people who benefit from having a service animal with them on a flight, whether it be that they have severe claustrophobia, seizures, anxiety, PTSD, or any number of other disorders that would be suppressed or ameloriated by the presence of a service animal. It wouldn't be for me to say that someone can't have a service animal in that situation, particularly since it's been recommended to and approved for them by a physician.
That being said, all accommodations need to be within reason, and that is one big ass bird!! That's not an animal that can be reasonably be brought on board.

I'm not sure about the whole "emotional support pet" thing. But, like Rokkerr, I won' deny the issue. However, there simply has to be limits. What started out as a good thing has been, like so many other things, abused by too many. So now it has to be regulated. You're probably aware that some people keep pigs as pets. No, I don't get it, but it's their house (just don't invite me over for dinner. I'm busy that night, lol.) But don't try to bring your pig onto the airplane. Or your horse. Or your Great Dane. Or your peacock. Or to the restaurant where I'm eating dinner, either.

It's gotten ridiculous. A person was bitten by a 70lb dog, in the face and required 28 stitches. Just because he tried to get into his assigned seat next to them. I don't think that was truly an emotional support animal! That dog needed emotional support itself! Like everything, a few assholes have to ruin it for everyone!

What the hell does a peacock need a boarding pass for? Isn't it a bird? Why can't he just fly along outside the plane? He'll get there first and can have the taxi waiting for you by the time you get your luggage.

Tell that to the guy who got bitten by some woman's 70 lb "support" dog when he tried to sit in his assigned seat next to her.

Dogs? I hear that you can now even get snakes on a plane. Emotional support snakes only, tho.
I see some notes on a couple seatbacks. Which of those dogs are reading the safety placard during take-off?

Do ya think that the "emotional support" people drove where ever they needed to go 20 years ago, or is Greyhound now missing out on a shitload of people travelling with their shetland ponies??

A lady was asked to deplane a flight with a pig...
Not sure what's worse ... that she was asked to deplane because of the pig OR that the airline let her on the plane with the pig in the first place...
Who gets on a flight with a pig??!?!

These people are going to ruin it for everyone. It's going to get harder and harder now for people who really do have emotional support pets to fly with them.

You are all looking at it wrongly! The pig was asked to leave the plane because of who it was travelling with!!!
By the way I love bacon!
Here was certainly a sin worth sinning and I applied myself with characteristic vigour to its practice

Had a dog on one of my flights home last Tuesday. I'm sorry. I just don't get it. "I'm all out of sorts, but my dog makes me feel better." Well, my dog makes me feel better, too, but I'm not taking him on an airplane. In my lousy opinion, some Dr's will agree to anything if it means making a buck.
Looks like the writers are a little crazy, too. In the next article (wrong-way driver,} the writer notes that the driver was "headed West" on a North/South freeway. He really was DUI! (E/W freeways are even numbered, N/S freeways are odd numbered.) I'm no whiz/bang, but I-75 starts in Michigan and goes to Florida. On my map, that's North to South.
The writer (he/she doesn't even put his/her name on the article, lol) "One driver was seen veering into another lane to avoid a collision, and passed the trooper around 3:40 a.m.," which doesn't make sense at all. I know wht he is tying to say, but this sentence is just malarkey. Oh, well. Professor Walt out!

Emotional Support Pets On A Plane?
If they have emotional and/or mental disorder, they should stay at home or in their loony bin or they should bring a cuddle blanket like Linus in Peanuts... hahaha
... or a sailor in a submarine : I love my Goldfish so much, why can't I bring it in my goldfish glass ? ...What? It's a Piranha?
... or an astronaut on his way to Mars : I need my turtle so bad.... can you design an astronaut suit for it, pls?
If they really need help because it is their first flight or so, & they feel scared as shit, they should ask a pretty stewardes (or a steward ...lol) to hold hands. This works 100% ...hahaha ... I did that on my first flight ever from Cologne to Stockholm. She was very beautiful...BTW
No pigs, peacocks, elephants, snakes or sharks on airplanes please, even though Holywood is producing movies where such things happen, and some stupid humans take that way too literally.... hahaha
