Beware of cockroaches - from Midgee Guardian 8/3/18

"Cans of pest spray have clear warnings about not using them near naked flames." Officer Ian Louden of the Queensland Fire and Emergency Service told reporters in Mount Isa, "and the instructions are put there for a purpose. This man ignited a can and a half of insect spray while trying to burn cockroaches in his kitchen, and he's now in hospital with severe burns, lacerations, and shrapnel injuries. The other people in the house are very lucky that the explosion was contained within the kitchen-lounge area, because they were in nearby bedrooms when it occurred. It didn't travel far, but it was a very vicious explosion."
Neighbour Kerrod Karkadoo added that "we were sitting out having a few beers when we heard "boohoo," and an explosion made everything vibrate. Windows and walls were blown out of the house, and we saw this bloke walking around holding his face." Fellow neighbour Stacey Corporal added "the police told my son that the guy was using pest spray in the kitchen to kill cockroaches, then lit a flame which caused the explosion. Which is pretty silly."

After a long gap!

"Haemorrhoids are a major source of road accidents'" Archbishop Dr Asafo-Agyei told reporters at the Asafo-Agyei Hospital in Daban (Kumasi), "because people lack knowledge of how to treat them. Piles affect the anal area, and persons suffering from the ailment feel a severe discomfort when they are seated in the driver's seat, which distracts them from performing their task safely, and causes accidents. It is essential that the authorities include haemorrhoid screening during all driving tests, as this is the surest way to reduce carnage on the roads."
Dr Asafo-Agyei then called for international support for his medical treatments. "My hospital is noted for non-surgical treatment of piles, using techniques we introduced some 27 years ago. People from many countries come here for treatment, because this facility boasts the lowest recurrent rate of piles on the planet, just 7%, compared to 20% in other parts of the world. If we were given a mandate, my foundation would educate and provide medical services for haemorrhoids to people throughout Ghana, and across the globe. I therefore call for partnership for the foundation to help alleviate people from their piles!"
