Well kind of just got back got to find my groove. I loved trick or treating when I was kid, but I loved the who aspects of Halloween. A favorite thing was getting besides the candy was money from the family that was from Korea in my old neighborhood, they wrapped it up in the paper, I was always respectful, it was so the spirits would bless their house so the evil spirits would stay away. I thought it was awesome.SamanthaGrace wrote: ↑October 1st, 2018, 11:23 pm First of all, I was expecting Andrew35 to start this thread. Andrew goes by Mr.Halloween during Halloween is the expert on everything spooky! Hello Ms. Foxx! Pleasure to meet you!
My Halloweens are spent much like Vicky. 24 hour of candy. There have been years where it's all I will eat all day. Haha... I am like a child in this manner. I will get such a sugar high I crash and I always laugh that I drop weight on the scale because I get so hyperactive from all the sugar!
For Halloween, I like being slutty spooky. I mean I'm slutty 365 days a year. So, I must be slutty on the day all the basic bitches are trying to be.
I totally understand just getting your grove back. i am there also. i feel this past week, is the first time in about 2 years my life has been semi-organized. like i made plans without it all going inside and wayside. I'm thinking, this is what being a normal human is like. wow! i miss that!Andrew35 wrote: ↑October 2nd, 2018, 12:03 amWell kind of just got back got to find my groove. I do miss when I was younger besides getting the candy, they also had a lot more candy that was in shapes Halloween, now there is a lot more of the oh let's throw a wrapper around it and say it's Halloween.
I never got to do any parties. I stopped trick or treating when I 13, people were more judgemental. Did take a friend of my uncle's friend's kids trick or treating when I was 17. Now days hardly get trick or treaters, they do more of that trunk or treat stuff, and if we get any they are what I call the drive by trick or treaters.SamanthaGrace wrote: ↑October 4th, 2018, 8:22 pmI totally understand just getting your grove back. i am there also. i feel this past week, is the first time in about 2 years my life has been semi-organized. like i made plans without it all going inside and wayside. Wow! what a special memory with the Korean family. I absolutely love that tradition! I agree on candy. i miss candy being more halloween like. With pumpkin chocolates and what not. I also miss trick or treating. haha.... i finally stopped when i was 17. I looked young enough no one ever cared. I miss the candy and treats on our street. we had a lot of older ladies, they made amazing little treats. they would invite you inside and chat with you. something no one would do today. because we live in an insane world. I just don't fear cupcakes and cider from sweet grannies.
every year, I had the big halloween bash. my parents put on amazing halloween parties for me and my friends. most of the school went it felt like. My parents really took their time to make an amazing party for the kids we knew. these parties started in my basement in elementary school. by high school they became so big, we had to hold them in the yard/ garage. My parents instilled the, you can only come if you show up with an invite. You had to RSVP. We had kids try to sneak in all the time. The best year was the seance. My parents held it in the garage. They drilled holes into the attic of the garage, moved items around with fishing lines. the scariest moment was the scissors spinning. I had no idea they did this. i was terrified of my own garage after that. my parents finally told me the truth.
