Double Standards for Instagram and Twitter?

One thing I noticed is that most famous people don’t have to follow the same rules on Twitter that porn stars do. I’ve found several models with inappropriate twitter header images. Case in point, Cara Delevingne — is naked, showing off bare buttocks and side boob.

If a porn star were to post a naked photo of themselves showing off their naked ass and side boob, Twitter would flip out and deactivate the account.

There was a time however that Instagram did punish a celeb for nudity. It’s really the only time I’ve heard of it.

Back in 2014, Rihanna posted some topless photos.

Rhianna now boasts over 68 million followers on Instagram. But there was a time when she didn’t care and said fuck it and abandoned her Instagram account because they wouldn’t let her post the photos she wanted to post.

Months later Instagram decided to reach out to Rhianna directly and make amends and as you can tell she’s not back using their platform, only now she isn’t posting any more topless images.

As far as social media companies go, they don’t seem to mind if celebs break their rules. Even in the case of Rhianna, who repeatedly broke their rules, they still gave her account back even actively pursued her, getting her to come back and post on their platform.

Back to supermodel Cara Delevingne, here she is on Instagram in three nude or sexualized photos.

If a porn star posts topless photos or full on nudes they would have their account banned without hesitation.

These two items were pulled from Instagram, I was told by Instagram not to post these pics anymore or any more or have my account removed for nudity/pornography. They were reported for that. I liked it because it was kinky but it is Art because it is in the Metal Museum here in Memphis. There's nowhere to dispute things on Instagram. Someone who got reported once said it's all about algorithms they aren't looking at what is reported but how many times it's reported on Instagram. Plus it's run by Facebook and Zuckerburg wants everything done fast and for decisions to be made fast.

Twitter when I got shadowbanned, well I tried reaching out to customer service no ever replied back so I just made a new account.

as you know i love porn stars....but i also live in the real world and know that porn starts are regular people too...maybe that is why the few porn people i know see me fondly

if i was smart enough to start a social platform i would do 2 things right off the bat..treat everyone with respect and treat everyone equally..the second thing is make an adult version of a social platform separate from the regular version...but you have to prove you are an adult to enter the adult part

i enjoy naked women so i would encourage nudity

honestly if seeing sex is not fun then don't watch it

As you know my instagram account was deleted about 40 days ago. (2,000,000 followers gone.) I hoped after pleading with them that they would reinstate it. I never posted anything but G rated pics. Nothing racy at all.... some cleavage maybe but nothing like most of what all the models post. No dental floss gstrings or hand bras.

They finally told me the reason last week. It was the link list that was in my profile! It was in there for at a year ... and I never knew it wasn't allowed. I knew you weren't allowed to link to any porn site, but I thought it was ok to link to another site where all your links were and that some of those could be porn. I thought because it wasn't a direct link it was ok. I still see tons of accounts with linktrees that go to porn sites. They could have just said, "hey that's not allowed" and I would have removed it? Why does no one get a single warning? How is that fair?

Anyway here is a model who is not taking it lying down. Well she is lying down in most of her posts, hahahaha... do you know Esmeralda Gomez? She was on the XBiz panel with me a few months ago.

Probably the only way to get it to stop is if someone has the time and money to sue them in court for discrimination, prove to a jury that they are allowing one group of people to post the same type of pics that they are banning others from posting and win. Then instagram and twitter will have to either allow everyone to post the same type of pics or ban the celebrity accounts.

i keep hearing that 'porn' isn't allowed on Tweeter, but I also constantly see blatantly pornographic content on there. To me, what I hate is that these platforms don't seem to give a damn about you. If they spot something they don't like, they don't bother writing and telling you said content is illegal and you have 7 days to delete it. Or maybe remove the specific content and write to tell you why. They don't do that. If they see one thing they don't like, they just ban your entire account for life. Pretty shitty ideals. And they complain about their members violating community standards.

The way I understand it, porn is allowed on Twitter, it's just not allowed in your profile. That means your profile photo or your header. You have to mark your account as "sensitive".

That way when somebody goes to your account for the 1st time, they they see the non porn header and non porn profile pic and they have to click that they are OK with "sensitive" content.

The only people that I know who have lost their Twitter accounts, it's because they had see through lingerie or nipples showing that would be considered Xrated in their headers or profile pics.....

Some have lost it from hate speech or misinformation. I'm not talking about that though,that's a different subject.

On the upside, having lost my Instagram for 40 days, my only fans and loyal fans and website sales are not down at all. They are completely steady. So I guess it didn't have as much influence as we thought.

I find Instagram worthless. I have an account and oist nothing to it unless it get cross posted from Facebook. I still get followers even though not much ever gets posted. Crazy to me. A lot of the time they are fake accounts and I remove and block them.

I'm not a big fan of social media. I know folks use it for business and to stay in the public eye but I think it's gotten to much importance in the world. But I'm a cranky old man lol.

To be honest I can't stand it either but it's part of my business, when people are deciding if they want to hire you for certain things, they look at your Instagram to see if you have any clout or not. It's a necessary evil.

I’m sorry Lots of girls have their OF link in their IG; for example, if they’re on TikTok, they’ll say ‘The link you’re looking for is on my IG’ because they know they can’t post it on TikTok but that they can on IG.

Not to mention, Britney Spears has posted a full nude (with hand bra covering boobs) on Instagram.

And yet, if even a nipple pops through a blouse, or too much booty shows, and the woman happens to be a porn performer or sex worker, she gets booted....while the fake catfish pages remain unabated to mooch off the real person's profits.

It's going to be interesting to see what Elon Musk does now that he's in charge of Da Birdie App (for now).

BTW, former Twitter CEO Jack Dempsey is already forming up his own Twitter-like app to challenge MuskTwitter, just in case Elon attempts to turn it into Truth Social/Gab Lite.

I absolutely agree 100% on that, Vicky....it's as if Instagram has it against sex workers and porn performers exclusively, like they are taking bribes under the table to allow some mainstream girls to post whatever they want while they use their "algorithm" to censor out porn performers who actually follow the TOS rules.

Just look at what Insta did to Pornhub's page when the latter called the former out on their nonsense.

I posted somewhere else about a recent court decision stopping Twitter and FB from censoring people's posts. It may be because they are both public platforms, I don't remember all of the details. But apparently it is taking court action to stop them from censorship.
