Haven't we gone over this?

Self-made: Having succeeded in life unaided.

Forbes Magazine. Sometimes I think the only thing that its good for is to roll up and get your ass spanked with by a Russian hooker.

But seriously, if Kylie is self made, then I'm a well hung GQ model with a Pathfinder in my driveway.

I think you've started a new thread that I'll be proud to contribute to.

Oh boy! I think we use this term way too loosely in society. I mean very few people are self made.

The United Kingdom is comprised of 4 tribes:

The Welsh - who pray on their knees and their neighbours
The Scots - who keep the Sabbath. And everything else they can lay their hands on.
The Irish - who don't know what the devil they want, but are willing to fight and die for it.
And the English - who consider themselves a race of self-made men. Thereby relieving the Almighty of a terrible responsibility.

Interesting. In a way, it sounds like grafting - how flower and produce farmers develop new hybrids. It never occurred to me that it could also happen spontaneously in nature.

She's lucky she failed to close the door; a trapped bear would likely have demolished the interior. I had a bear raid a vehicle before, luckily the only damage was the Tupperware case that had some jam preserves inside it.

We have several apple trees and bird feeders so we have bears wander into our property occasionally during the day. We'll fire off some whistling bottle rockets and that gives them enough of a scare to turn tail back into the woods.
