Not really. The chances of getting it are extremely low here and wasn't planning a trip to China. Most of what I have read also says that wearing a face mask really doesn't help with this type of virus. While this has some of the same symptoms as the flu it isn't the same type of virus. I think the world health organization's stance was it can't hurt, it might help.

It kinda scares me. With airline travel it makes it a really small planet. It can spread around the globe super quick. Shutting down all transportation to and from China is the only way to contain it. We may have already missed that opportunity.

A couple airlines posted that they will stop flights to China in two weeks. TWO WEEKS? And, To China? What the hell is going on. Stop the flights now - ANd, airlines? I think this whole thing started IN China. Stop the damn flights FROM China!

I've started to stock up for a 2 week quarantine, just in case. Most of the stuff is tinned goods that can eventually be used anyway, or I could just donate it to a local food bank it if turns out not to be needd.

It doesn't scare me because I generally don't get out into large crowds. The CDC (Center for Disease Control) is begging people to Stop buying masks. They apparently don't stop you from getting the virus, they only stop you from spreading it. So, if you don't have it, you don't need a mask. Plus, they say, a major run on masks is depleting the supply of masks for those who really do need them, like the medical community.

I know one college student had it, they were being treated in Nashville at Vanderbilt hospital but that's about it. Go to the doctor or any medical place and you get asked if you have been out of the country.
