Where I live, in Melbourne, Australia, when the last lockdown ended last November, cases increased with omricon variant but still business opening up. In the pass 2 months, due to high vaccination rate, where I live and in most of Australia, its a case of the hospitalisation rate being controlled.
Anyway, as it is case of declining hospitalion, in the state of Victoria where I live, that as of tomorrow, masks will not have to be worn in most indoor settings as well, too. The exceptions are in hospitals, health and age care centres and workers in hospitality.

Good news for you Glenn! Glad to hear it! We are planning a trip to Italy in April and I hope they drop the mask requirement on planes!

I just heard we won't need to get covid tests to fly. Just vaccine passport.

Yes, Vicky, I'm glad I don't have masks in most indoor settings and outdoors. Been so confining, especially in warmer weather. However, still have to wear it on public transport and airports. Like you, hopefully, that restriction will end soon, and will be able to travel, without having to wear masks.

Hope you have an amazing trip, but if the mandate isn't lifted I don't want to be reading about you getting arrested for trying to storm the cockpit or something. If you do get arrested it should be for being caught filming a new video for the lavatory occupied section of the site lol
Keep smiling. It makes people wonder what you are up to :-)

All restrictions now lifted within England... in a couple of week I am off up to Manchester for a concert and I have a hotel booked for a couple of nights. First time I will have been away for more than a day trip in over a couple of years! I am equal parts looking forward to it and being apprehensive about catching it... although now triple jabbed I am pretty sure I can handle it if I do!

That ain't the only thing you shouldn't wear on a flight, girlfriend. I ran across an article titled "Pilots, Flight Attendants, And Crew Are Sharing Things Everyone Should Know — But Oftentimes Don't — About Flying."

Number 14 on the list: "14."Do not wear a butt plug during your flight. I've seen some "unfortunate things happen due to that.""

Hope everyone has been keeping well.

I fell sick mid January - I don't think it was covid, but did not bother to confirm. Tylenol, cough syrup and rest seemed to work.

Been swamped with work since then, just popped in to see what's going on in the real world. Hopefully my work will return to an acceptable level of sanity by the end of the month.

Looking forward to doing some travelling now that covid seems to be manageably controlled.

Take care, everyone.

Yeah, welcome back Lance!

Like Vicky, I thought you were just going through a quiet period.

One of my chipmunks also showed up for the first time today! I figured that the chipmunks just came around now and again, and maybe were getting preyed upon by hawks and owls (which I see and hear now and again). When they disappeared again at the beginning of winter, I looked them up online and it turns out they hibernate.

Take care of yourself, Lance!

I've just got back from a few days away in Manchester... aside from a handful of people I saw with masks it's like there was nothing going on there now... and I am still fine. My brother's girlfriend tested positive last week (only just started testing negative yesterday) but she's triple jabbed and it was a very heavy cold for her. But I've been in places and around people now for a few days up there with no precautions really in place. So far I am feeling fine and am clear but it was just so so weird. First time being away and all like that for 2 years and it was just odd. I've got some things to share so may start a new post about the trip if you'd indulge me... or not! Haha!

I just got over a cold and gave it to my girlfriend who has it bad. Our home tests show negative for COVID but going to take her to urgent care today.

We used our first government tests but I'm not sure they are accurate. We received 2 more yesterday that are the same as Vicky posted. Our first 2 we're different. Not even going to try the new ones. We'll get her a Dr administered test.

Everyone take care and feel better. This isn't over. A new strain is going around in Europe and I have a feeling we will get another spike in Spring/Summer.

Now remember, I'm not a doctor. I only play one in the bedroom 😈
...and she said " Let's go for it, the rooms already paid for!"

They had drive-thru sites here (maybe still do) where the testing was done in a lab and you get your results in 24 hours. I went once maybe a couple months ago and tested negative.

I have 4 of those Government tests and just ordered 4 more. Haven't been motivated to try them out yet. May try one just to see. I get the sniffles/runny nose most mornings. But it's happened for years. A friend turned me on to Sudafed a couple years ago, and it's been a miracle drug. If I feel sniffles coming on, I take one and it fixes me up. But that's not Covid, thankfully. At 79 with no known underlying conditions, I feel pretty good. Heading back to Arizona in early April, then back again in mid-May.
